Australia Post - Kew North LPO

There's quite a few reviews out there vying for worst Post Office in Australia. My fiancee and I have resided all over Australia and we're nominating Kew North. Aggressive, unhelpful, obstructist and boldly unafraid to be as rude, dismissive and angry as they feel like. The owner (who refused to provide his name) laughed at my fiancee's distress over being unable to find a package that had been sent for our wedding. Avoid at all costs - have your packages sent to Cotham Rd PO, the complete opposite of the nasty people who proudly told us they had operated this place for 12 years, but displayed zero aptitude for even the barest effort at customer service. Kew is a great place to live with wonderful, friendly people; I hate to think how many people have suffered the same experience here.

Friendly service, been many times, but today I went to pickup a package and their Google maps opening hours aren't correct. Pretty annoying, changed my plans to get here unnecessarily. Please update your Google maps details

Rude and unhelpful, and has been for the 14 years I have lived in Kew. This Australia Post licensed news agency gives Australia Post a bad name. The owner has clearly had enough of his business, so much so that he appears comfortable to treat his customers with contempt. And his daughter seems to be modelling his sales 'charm'. Some advice to the owner: have a long holiday and enjoy it so much that you sell your little shop to someone that cares about customer service and can contribute positively to the Willsmere Rd shopping strip. And some advice to the daughter: go and work for someone else - a decent business owner, and model your behavior on theirs. And some advice to would-be customers: the post office in East Kew - up the top of High Street is oh so much better!

Wouldn’t sell me AFL cards rather have sold then to kids and have kids in the store running around.$$ a sale today is better then no sale or a sale tomorrow.Tried calling they answered with no joy to tell me there not in stock.Wont be taking my business here and will recommend people go somewhere else

I'm no review writer but that last entry was just so wrong. The people at the north kew PO are friendly and helpful. Like many small business owners, they face the stresses of making a living from an increasingly tough business. They do a community service by being in this shopping strip. We should support them to stay, not sneer at the slightest misunderstanding, which is what the above seems to be. Should we expect good, reliable service? Yes, but with some humility please. (2 years ago)October 2016: New owners took over in the past 12 months. They have refurbished and provide excellent service. Yes, the previous owners by comparison, seemed to be tired of running a post office. It was the best thing for them to move on. The new management are a pleasure to do business with and the whole area seems to be in a renaissance with the new corner boutique, new dentist under construction, Willo Cafe, not to mention all the other good shops in the area. Even Kew Organics has had a change of hands after 16 years. Nilda and Jack were great and I'm sure their friends, the new owners, will be too.

The team here are an absolute delight. So efficient and polite.

Everytime I have anything to do with this post office its a bad experience. Yes, they come off friendly, but it doesn't make up for the dismal service and lack of motivation to improve it.They cant answer questions, like why haven't i got a card in my letterbox telling me i have a package to collect

Very good service. Both husband and wife are friendly and helpful. It’s a pleasure dealing with them and we’re very happy to have such a great local australiapost shop in Kew North.
