Waited an hour for food, I was astonished at my overcooked Kiev all black and bursted, Tasted terrible. Partners food appeared to be reheated roast veges along with over boiled mushed mixed vegetables. Roast chook may be from the supermarket. I did not eat my meal - cannot recommend at all. Bar service rude and on the phone - unapproachable. Very very disappointed, first and only time there.

Came to the Allies for Woodstick; a day of bands covering songs from the Woodstock era. The pub was super busy & was a great place to be. I had such a good day & the staff were super friendly.

What a shame 3 months later changed chef, tasteless whiting, chips over cooked, wife's sea food basket oily, side salad limp not fresh , no salad dressing of any kind .Unfortunately won't return there for meals again .

First time attended this hotel. First appearance is that it needs a update or refurbishment. Staff friendly and engaging and beer is cold. Limited type menu. The physical venue is old, ran down and somewhat dirty in appearance especially around the drive thru bottle shop. A few km out of town with nothing to attract you to the venue. If not for meeting friends at location, I would not have attended venue. Lots of other like venues closer to Bendigo providing better ambience, modern and clean to consider when choosing a venue.

Only reason for giving four was that my husband and I enjoyed our meals, not too bad. But I had actually asked for chips and salad, but received veg,(sorry, bit soggy too,) instead of salad. Otherwise, was nice, friendly enjoyed nice atmosphere. Will gladly bring people back (if critique not held against us!)
