Kitchener Dam

Lovely dam with gorgeous view and native wildlife.

It is a great place good to see history preserved. Track and signage needs a bit of maintenance. Has suffered a bit with the weather over the Xmas break. However I managed to get all way round the dam.

This is such a cute playground for younger kids. You can walk down to the dam and see the ducks. Toilets are decent. Play ground is not fully fenced but is set back on a fairly quiet road.

Reflective of the history of mining in the region. Would be great to see how the area is supportive of our many endangered specieS of flora and fauna.

Nice easy bush walking trail around the lagoon, normally a loop, but some wooden structures along the track need repair, owing age & missing planks,- to complete the loop circuit.Part of the track at its end, is submersed after rain events and Council temp-stores road base etc materials at one end, not far from submersed and wood structure damaged section. Return walk is fine. Walk is not suited to wheelchairs. Updated track route signage needed, as there are other unsigned tracks off this primary track that leads to other bush locations and lord knows where on this Earth.Easy enough job to bring track to good Spec. Needs $/pesos to repair, as at 2 May 2023.Wharf structure at lagoon is fine. Council could add additional seating, or gas BBQ facility.

Beautiful scenic walking track around dam. At 1.6 km it’s great for kids and dogs on leash. Some of the track is under water with logs to cross so not great for prams.

It looks like a pretty little park to sit and watch the ducks.

Great place for a picnic with lots to do. There's a park, bush walking trails, small dam and a 'Poppethead' with an interesting mining history... the kids love it!

Netty. Was. Here. Take a stroll around the dam or pull up for a picnic. Such a serene place.
