Not the greatest beach but a popular spot to watch a sunset. An easy walk from the carpark.

What a spectacular spot, devoid of the usual detritus that is often found around beaches with boat launch areas.Whether you're coming here for a cheeky dip at low tide when you can see that it is safe from saltwater crocodiles or having a picnic regardless of the full extent of the ebb and flow of the tides I recommend checking out this wonderful area..Also, if you're very lucky, the chance of seeing - from a distance please - a turtle making it's way onto or off the beach where they use the area as a turtle nursery".There's a nice launching area

If you happen to have a drone, watching the sunset from this location is quite fascinating. However, it's important to exercise caution as there are crocodiles in the vicinity.

Actually an amazing place to see the sunset, will be back tomorrow. It was very windy so bring a jacket.

THE spot to catch the last vestiges of light over Bowen and mountains of the west and watch the full moon rise over the ocean. In the future I see a tall metal elevated fiery beacon standing proud in the sand to welcome the full moon, the flame and crackling embers of the drift wood against sun and moon and dark blue sky. This place is where you come to think and wonder of what has been and what might come. The strangest thing about this place how the tides rapidly change this place, sands shift and shape continually. Go back after a few months and things will have changed again.(See this place before access is revoked)
