QUT Kelvin Grove Fitness and Aquatic by YMCA

Terrific aqua aerobics class. Currently run by the YMCA, ownership is returning to QUT in a few months time. Hope they keep the staff because it's very well run.

Wanted to give a friends son some assistance with swim technique… that’s not allowed! You only can if you are a parent. Love the promotion of community and safe swimming.

Only used the gym not the pool. Accepts fitness passport. Gym was OK with fairly new equipment, however equipment availability was limited. There was only one bench press, a couple of fly machines, but many unused treadmills. Could use the space more wisely.Also a bit of rigmarole getting in with fitness passport, they want you to sign into their system as well as FP which is not done at other places. This wasted a bit of time.

Today was not as good as other times that I have been here.There was a local high school here learning how to use scuba equipment. So, some of the lanes were blocked off, and the noise level was loud. Also, the water was colder than normal.

Great pool. 25m. Showers are fantastic. Very friendly staff. Very helpful that they are in Kelvin Grove Village. So one can combine a swim with some other tasks!

Worst experience everOld rusty gym devices. Horrible receptionists especially Kaly or kale. They have no idea how to deal with customers. Today due their stupidity that lost a long term customer. I won't recommend it for anybody.

Terrible customer service at the swimming pool. The so-called 'lifeguard' guy called Michael (something) didn't do his job of 'lifeguard' but keep annoying people in the pool by saying that people cannot learn swimming with a friend - excuse me? Since when, there is a rule saying that people cannot learn with a private coach in the pool?The receptionist called Wee (an Indian-like guy?) also invented his own rule saying that people after swimming lessons, need to pay extra $5 to access the pool for practice? We used other lanes for practice after swimming class, then this guy charged us extra money. However, at all other times, other receptionists were all fine with our practice in other lanes after swimming class. Also, his accent is so difficult to understand what he is talking about. Completely terrible customer service by these two guys. The manager should speak to these unprofessional staff members or send them to somewhere for training before serving.NOT RECOMMENDED.

25m heated indoor pool, open most days. Very clean, friendly staff.

Great clean gym, staff are really friendly and helpful. Everything I need all in one, gym is on level 1 and the pool on Ground level, my membership lets me use both :)Easy parking and brand new equipment
