Marvellous food. Real, authentic home cooked Sri Lankan food. For lunch I tried potatoes and chicken with lovely rice. It's quiet and in Westralia Street opposite Vinnies. Do yourself a favour.

Quality & authentic Sri Lankan food from a lovely Sri Lankan family! I tried the chicken string hopper which was great, enough leftover for dinner. Also gave me a gluten free option & my sensitive tummy had no issue with the food. Will be back!!

Ceylanthra Café and Restaurant
This unassuming place is not very busy but deserves your attention. The food is like discovering home made Sri Lankan culinary goodness. I stopped in on a whim and tried the fish rolls, and they were a taste sensation. I went back for an early dinner the next day, and all they had on offer were fresh lamprais (a Sri Lankan feast wrapped tight in banana leaf). I took the parcel home and it reaffirmed my thesis: delicious home cooked Sri Lankan food can be found here! The standout flavour inside has to be the batu moju, a sweet and sour eggplant relish that has a hard to describe richness and takes the rice and curry to another level. There's also a fish cutlet to be found inside the parcel, and much like the earlier roll, it brings the salty essence of whitefish to the mix. This is a small and unassuming little restaurant, but it will serve up big flavours and a true taste of Sri Lanka...
