Blue Eye Seafood Restaurant
Absolutely great seafood restaurant. We stumbled in more by accident and were happy to find a place outside to place our dog and the two of us for a nice lunch. The oysters were absolutely stunning (best in our one month in Tasmania), so was the sashimi and the fish for mains. Super fresh. Add a cold glass of rose and a great service and it made our day.

Very disappointed in this place, they charge top dollar and it did not live up to expectations. Booking, arrival and greeting was fine. Upon ordering drinks i asked what beer they had on tap, there were two types, the waitress could not explain to me which they were, ok, she was pilot and I guess maybe learning. I asked if she could find out which she d and I order a beer on tap, she came back and with a can of the beer...I said I wanted beer from tap, she said ohh, the beer on tap is not working! That would have been useful information in the beginning!! Meals were very small, ridiculously small for the price, fish was like a fish finger size from a packet!! Let me be clear this was no packet fish, it was very nice and cooked perfectly, the size was ridiculously small for the price! I read an article in the Australian recently about post covid restaurants not delivering value for money, this in my view is one of the!

Blue Eye Seafood Restaurant
A very enjoyable restaurant, with delicious seafood. I was very impressed with the friendliness and warmth of the staff members, who did a great job all round. The seafood was fantastic, my favourite was the octopus which was extremely tasty and fresh. The weather turned during our time at the restaurant and the umbrellas at the front of the restaurant ensured we remained dry with great views!

This restaurant was recommended by friends who had visited Hobart previously as one of the very best seafood restaurants in the city, and it did not disappoint. We had delicious Prawn and Ginger dumplings (quite a Chilli kick!) and crumbed Tasmanian Scollopa for starters, followed by “The Lot” (mostly deep fried & crumbed) & “Mixed Grill” which ensured a taste of most of their offerings. Definitely recommended!

Amazing food and great service. Felt like an absolute star here. Staff are super friendly and the food is to die for. Would 10000% recommend to those looking for amazing quality seafood and service! We will be back

I was here for 3-5pm happy hour for $2 oysters. You can get natural, kilpatrick, garlic butter mozzarella or most impressively tempura. We got 27 of mixed style. It was just amazing. Juicy inside and flavorful. Very throughly cleaned. Outside area has heaters and blankets. Water is slightly contaminated with pineapple. Chowder is curry flavored which is unusual but plenty of seafood inside. Definitely pay this place a visit.

Great quality oysters and scallops one best had in awhile . Service was first class . Highly recommend for lunch dinner with family and friends .
