Had the best time at Bottarga. The service was amazing, the staff are so friendly & welcoming. The food was incredible and the plating was so pretty. It was really enjoyable to watch the chefs at work. The restaurant is small, but it doesn't feel too clustered and actually quite comfortable. I will definitely be coming again, there are more items for me to try. The potato bread and butter is a must!

Intimate, tasty and authentic.This should really be it, but it's so much more. Bottarga is the classic place that's considered a Melbourne's dining destination.From the service, to the atmosphere, from the quality of food, to the attention to detail. They simply don't miss a beat.

I had a meal on my own, a kingfish or scallops crudo as a starter - beautiful colours, delicious, had a punch to it which awakened my senses and my tastebuds, a meat pie for a main which was also good too. My boyfriend joined me after for dessert (great presentation for a tiramisu dessert but something lacking.)The waitress was warm and attentive and had the cocktails ready when my bf arrived.The place was warm, inviting and comfortable. The chef was exquisite.I would come back to try the other dishes,Well priced - great wines.

Awesome little gem in the heart of Brighton!Everything was absolutely amazing from the accueil to the service and to the drinks and the food.The attention in the details is incredible, the wine list is well balanced and with some amazing exclusive wines.The food is absolutely the star: the dishes looked elegant and fine and they were an explosion of flavours and textures in the mouth.We will definitely going back.

We had dinner at Bottarga tonight and if you live anywhere near Brighton, it's a must. The food is extremely well presented, balanced and flavourful. Very intimate dining experience where you can see all the action in the kitchen.Highly rated and will be back again soon!

Chef Federico and partner Somi opened Bottarga in Martin Street, Brighton just under a year ago. Fortunately they have weathered all sorts of challenges, not the least Covid and all it had to offer. I first visited when they ran Bottarga as a café during the day and Italian restaurant by night however their focus is now on fine dining, opening for lunch and dinner service only. They have changed the decor giving the restaurant a more refined and warm feel, the menu has been expanded with Japanese flavours intertwined with traditional Italian fare and the kitchen completely re-vamped. The food, flavours and presentation are excellent as is their extensive and impressive wine list.27/10 Another visit for more great food .. more pics added!

This was a true fine dining experience. The chef here would easily hold his own on Masterchef Professionals. Every dish in every course was exquisite. The service was outstanding as well. Very caring and attentive. We celebrated my mum's birthday and they even gave us a complimentary dish each to celebrate her. Thank you Bottarga for a fantastic night.

What a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is intimate that allows for excellent attention from the friendly professional staff. The food was exception and the presentation added to experience. The wine list was diverse and reasonably priced.A fabulous lunch, we will be back soon.

Degustation on valentines was incredibly flavourful. 9 dishes each was crafted to perfection. Staff was great. Wine pairing +85$ was lot of wine. Worth the money.500$ for 2. Go for it if you have it.
