Dr. Aguilar has to be the most gentle dentist out there! I got my wisdom teeth removed without much problem during the surgery and afterwards.

This surgery is a gem to the community in St Mary's.They are talented dentists, that are responsive, bright and articulate. They employ techniques that rivals those of the east and I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am with their services. If you are in St Mary's, schedule your next appointment at their clinic and you won't be disappointed!

Dr Alex is a really nice and caring dentist. He made sure I was ok and not in pain for my filling. Explained everything that needed to be done step by step. You can really tell he takes the time making sure your ok and that the job is done right the first time. Already booked my next appointment with him. Highly recommend!

The other google reviews and recommendations led me to this dental practice. I was not disappointed. The initial consultation/clean went well. I was really happy with the time taken to explain the options available and the pricing seemed really reasonable.I just had a few fillings replaced so far and it was all PAIN FREE! I couldn't believe how smoothly it went. Also, I've finally decided (at 33 years old) to get braces. I'll happily provide another review with an update on my experience once they're off.

I’ve been to this practice for several years now and all have been positive experiences! Both Dr Alex and Chris Aguilar have been so approachable and attentive to my needs. Whether it was one of my routine check-ups or a wisdom tooth removal, their expertise and focus on patient care definitely shows! I’ve moved further away from St Mary’s but they’re definitely worth the drive! 100% recommend!

Cheers Dr Alex Aguilar! Couldn’t be happier with my fillings! My teeth have been so sensitive for months and they’re 100% better now. Can’t thank you enough! What an awesome experience! Highly recommend!

13/5/18 Update: I am now seeing a dentist North of Sydney, Dr David. Dr David told me that I will need a crown which is going to cost me $1300 because the tooth Aguilar botched cracked last month (crowns usually cost anywhere from $1600+). Dr David examined X-rays from my dentist in Canberra, Dr Raghad, who took X-rays before her filling. Luckily, I had an X-ray from Primary Dental a year after she had put the filling in. Dr David said that there was no reason for that much tooth to be taken off by Aguilar.Aguilar was thinking of the future $1800 bill for a crown instead of a couple of hundred for a filling. Aguilar, to you, it’s just money. To patients, this is our health! Don’t be a donkey and drill healthy teeth so you can make a thousand bucks or two. This surgery is in a area full of disadvantage and struggle. Did you ever think ‘what if this girl can’t afford a crown?’ What would happen then? ... you would just pull it out, wouldn’t you? Because you’re money hungry! Greedy greedy Aguilar.NB: A word of caution to any future patients, should you stand up for yourself and leave an unflattering Google review be ready for Aguilar to give you a stern word in the dental chair. If you’re really smart, you’ll save your money and avoid this croc. Nearly 3 years later and I think about this regretful experience at least once a month. SMH. One of the worst decisions in my entire life.Looking back now, that’s why Aguilar didn’t take an X-ray. I still remember walking out of the old, outdated surgery and running my tongue around the tooth thinking “why is my tooth so low and small”. He drilled my tooth down to the gum and filled it while hoping the filling wouldn’t last and I’d be back having to spend big bucks.Sept/Oct 2016: If you are looking for good quality treatment with the best materials - You won't find it here. If you're looking for affordability... You also won't find that here. If you are looking someone who can talk to you and educate you on oral health then Dr Aguilar is your guy. Just don't let him touch your teeth! BIGGEST REGRET OF MY LIFE.I am not happy with the filling that he did. The last filling that I had was a gold inlay which was great to use and matched my tooth colour. That same tooth was treated by Dr Aguilar is now much much smaller and isn't the same size or shape as the same molar on the opposite side or the molar below.I haven't been able to use my new tooth yet but just looking at the dentists work makes me regret ever coming to this clinic. I know I will have to pay another $200+ to have my tooth treated at my regular dentist who is in Canberra because of the aesthetic alone. The dentist saw the filling that was put into my tooth previously and the high quality workmanship but still choose to continue to fill my tooth with his low quality material and novice technique. The dentist couldn't even put the matrix band on (This goes on the tooth after it has been drilled and cleaned as a guide for the filling). My regular dentist did this with ease and the tooth back then was still whole. The tooth condition on presentation was quarter cracked before I arrived and then drilled down once I got in chair but he still couldn't work around the tooth properly. Then he said he had to drill a big piece of healthy tooth just so he could fit it on, which meant a BIGGER filling, which meant MORE MONEY.I have worked for Bupa Dental and Primary Dental as an office administrator so I know a thing or 2 but in no way as much as a dentist. So if I'm picking up on these small hiccups imagine what a trained professional would see. These dentists must have only recently graduated so Im putting today down to inexperience.Do yourself a favour and go to a surgery with a dentist who has been in the industry a while or you will regret it! I had no examination, no X-ray, and was charged $200 for a poor job.**Although I am not happy with the filling, the treatment was painless - except for the bill.

I had the great fortune to be seen by Dr Alex, who demeanour was comforting but he speaks with authority. A swift diagnostician, Dr Alex was able to inform me of other issues for later treatment, but we worked on today's problem today and it was done before I knew it - literally, in the literal sense of the word.Godspeed, Dr Alex. You're possibly the best dentist I've had the pleasure of seeing.Highly recommended dentist. Polite and attentive staff. Country music on the waiting room radio. Some people may like that sort of thing :D

I have been treated by both Dr Alex Aguilar and Dr Chris Aguilar and found both to be really great dentists. They took time to educate me as well as providing and explaining to me multiple options when deciding what to do with my treatment. Not only were both times painless but I felt really at ease during the procedures. I'd highly recommend going here, their professionalism and expertise really shows!

Excellent experience with Dr. Aguilar. Had a root canal and crown done on my upper molar and couldn't be happier. Dr. Aguilar explained the entire process so I understood what was happening and my tooth has been great since. He was also happy to answer any questions I had. Would highly recommend. Thank you again!!!!
