Used this terrible company once several years ago, ended up with a dead horse, huge bill and no explanation. Refused to take my calls or discuss why my horse was dead on arrival. Full post morten showed no feed in stomach and dehydration. Worst experience ever.

I safely changed lanes to go onto the M7 from the M4. This truck driver came close to my car and beeped their horn none stop for between 3-5 minutes. This person should lose their license. Absolutely disgusting behaviour on the road.

They changed my pick up time twice, even though I explained I was moving house/farm. The driver was rude, unco-operative and refused to call the destination 10 minutes out from delivery and TOLD me to do it. He slapped one of my horses to get her on, even though she wasn't being any trouble. He was also extremely rude to the people at the destination end and refused to assist in any way.2 days later the office rang to Chase up" (their words) the payment. I offered 3 weeks prior to pick up to pay in advance. I will never use them again

Great communication from both scheduler and driver, they were running ahead of schedule for the agreed meeting place for a horse pick up. Lovely clean safe side loading truck, no issues:)

5/10/2019.Whilst traveling Warwick to Stanthorpe overtook this truck in overtaking lanes. For the next 5 or so kilometers he tailgated lights on horn blazing. We were traveling 90 to 100 kph maintaining a safe distance behind the ute in front no opportunity to pass due to traffic and road. We were not holding him up just maintaining speed with vehicle in front. Slowed down in next overtaking lane to allow him passed, he stopped half a K up the road no doubt to get his story together as we were photographing his antics. This is the type of fool that gets the trucking industry a bad name.

I have had several positive experiences with Sydney Horse Transport. First, they transported my horse from Sydney Airport despite a massive delay and a long trip. He was looked after overnight and delivered promptly in the morning. Second, when the floods hit, they helped us evacuate our horses on short notice. Their facilities are outstanding, excellent large stalls and always had clean chaf and water. They are easy to communicate with and very professional!

Seems like the drivers this company hire gave an issue with road rage. Travelling south bound on m7 I was behind a DAF doing 95 in 100 zone, I was in no rush so I stayed behind him. 7km later and around 12 opportunities to safely move over with hundreds of metres clear, I decide enough is enough and overtake the driver on the left. He seems to have an issue with this, as once I merged infront of him (with plenty of distance, I'm a truck driver myself). He decides to hold his horn for 40 seconds, flash his high beams multiple times (causing me not to get a look at his number plate) and then half merging and blocking both lanes for 200m. Have dash cam footage of the incident and will be filing it with the authories.

Got a horse transported from nsw and the old owners sent her down with her rug, somehow the rug ‘disappeared’ and could never be found. Kept calling trying to track it down and was never found. This mare has sensitive skin and the rug was for her skin, it was an expensive rug. Won’t use this company again.

I am writing this review to express my concerns about the lack of communication and professionalism I have encountered from Sydney Horse Transport. I have communicated my concerns in writing and by phone call to the organisation but it looks like the lack of communication at Sydney Horse transport runs through the whole company. After following up twice for an answer to my written concerns I was told the manager would be in touch last week. No reply, not even an acknowledgment of my emails.Details of my concerns are as follows and users can make up their own minds about whether they would use this company to transport their horses. We had a pony on trial which didn’t end up being right for us, so we organised to send the pony back to Albury to his owners. I was keen to get him back as soon as possible and my usual carrier recommended Shaun from Sydney Horse Transport who would be able to pick up and deliver that week. Our usual carriers could not commit to the trip that week and I appreciated them letting me know.Shaun quoted $400 cash and organised pick up for 24 February. On 24 February no truck arrived, and I sent a message asking what time we should be expecting it. Was advised truck had been cancelled and pick up would now be on Sunday 27 Feb.Sent message on 26 Feb asking for approximate time for pick up for Sunday, was advised “working out times now”.Sunday afternoon, no truck arrived and after several messages was advised truck would arrive on Monday 28 Feb between 2-3pm.Monday 28 Feb, truck arrived at 11am. (Lucky, we had someone home available to get pony ready for pick up). Female truck driver was lovely and polite and couldnt fault her. She was unable to advise what time the pony would arrive at Albury and stated it may go to Bulla depot first and arrive the following day. Asked them to keep in touch with owner at destination regarding delivery.1 March, I received a message from the owner in Albury wondering where her horse was. Neither of us had heard anything regarding his whereabouts or ETA. After several messages from both of us owner was advised he would arrive at 8pm 1 March.Later that night, pony still not arrived, and messages left unanswered. Finally, owner received a message to say truck was driving around Victoria with a sick yearling looking for a vet and ETA was now 1-2 am on 2 March.Pony arrived at 130 am on 2 March in poor condition, dehydrated and tucked up.All this for a 4 hour trip up the freeway that if I had been advised in the first place could not happen on the Friday 24 February I would have floated him the 4 hour trip myself. Not only that, but I had to organise to have someone at the property on three different days waiting for a truck to arrive.
