Yes, its expensive, our room smelt of moth balls, there was no gas for the BBQ and getting the right temp for the shower was like safe cracking. But you don't care because it is an amazing location. The owners leave you alone to relax, no do's and don'ts, you sort of need to feel your way into it actually, no hand holding here. The view, the walking trail, the location, its unique and worth every penny for a genuine once in a life experience.

You have not stayed at a retreat unless you’ve stayed here. Stunning views, amazing house and beautiful decor. Comfy beds and room for plenty. Just far enough out of victor to be away from it all but close enough to have everything you need at your fingertips.

Walked the Heysen trail from Petrel Cove to King’s Beach many times in all kinds of weather! Absolutely fantastic scenery! Whales, dolphins and seals to be enjoyed in season!

Stayed at the sand retreat and I have to say WOW, amazing place, location and hospitality. I loved how secluded the place was, the easy access to the trails, how quiet and beautiful the scenery was.The kitchen was well equipped even with a French press and beans for coffee. Very handy. Beds were comfy and everything we needed. We loved sitting on the outdoor uncover area reading our books with a view. Excited to come back here !Thanks Skye and Sam !

We love coming back here again and again. Nothing can beat those views. The beds are comfortable, and there are good facilities. Our room had a lovely gas heater in the covered outdoor area, and there's a BBQ to make use of. The rocky, beachy decor is pleasing to the eye and gives the room a relaxing vibe. Even in bad weather, we absolutely loved staying here! They have good, basic provisions (coffee, salt, etc.) Head into town for food, or pick some up on the way. I recommend getting something to barbeque!

Serenity with a view!We loved our rustic cabin and found the view mesmerising. There was always something new to see, like birds, sea lions, boats, waves, hikers and boogie boarders.It was amazing how quiet it was inside, considering it's perched on a windy cliff top, the bed was comfortable, and it wasn't far to drive to shops and restaurants.But my favourite place was the enclosed pergola with it's own heater, where I could write and stare at nature.

We had a lovely stay with family which was drastically soured by accusations of stealing some of the lovely artworks contained within the dwelling. We were extremely disappointed and offended by this and offered to participate in any investigation that followed.
