I lodged my tax return on 15/10/22 and was advised it would take a maximum of 2 weeks. I called the office a month later on the 16/11/22 and was advised that it had not even been submitted yet and that it would take another 2 weeks as it had seemed to have slipped through the cracks." I have been chasing this for two weeks. I had my tax return done by the Charlestown office. They advised me of my refund and I opted for the fee from refund service. Big mistake. Was told the fee would be $199 ($30 above the regular fee due to “admin” but I didn’t have the funds immediately available so still opted for this option) however when I received my refund that was transferred to me from HR Block’s account I have been short changed by an additional $149 on top of the $199. I try to message head office (as that’s where the money has come from) via their online form but it’s broken (click send message but nothing happens). I called the Charlestown office and explained the situation and was told someone would get back to me in two days. Nothing happened so I call back. Another message taken and I get told someone will get back to me in a couple of days. Still nothing. I call back again and get told the manager has been busy and will escalate this to head office. A week has now gone by and still NOTHING! I have been a long time client of HR Block. I’ve been getting my tax done by you since I first started working. But after all this never again. Clearly you must need my $149 more than me but this is crazy. I want someone to get back to me and tell me why you are withholding this money from me and why nobody has bothered to simply return my call to let me know what is going on. I know it’s tax time and it’s busy but come on. This is your bread and butter time of year and to not be calling back clients after two weeks of them chasing you is unacceptable.

Had the pleasure of lodging my tax with Nic who was incredibly helpful and professional. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.

Gave me the price of how much I’d get back and it was much much less from what ATO told me AND the tax agent who did my tax told me I couldn’t claim my work shoes EVEN though I had a receipt for it!!!I won’t be back!!!

Terrible service would not return calls after a month of not getting calls returned and no tax return went and got paperwork and took my business elsewhere

Worst experience ever for my Son . Would not recommend and certainly won’t be returning next year . After finally getting the Charlestown branch to answer the phone after a few weeks of trying turns out the return has not even been lodged as I expected. It has been eight weeks since first went to H&R Block. Appalling service I can’t stress enough how not to go to H&R Block at Charlestown if you want to tax refund.
