Australia Post - Lismore East LPO

The service that I have received from the staff at East Lismore Post Office is always happy, courteous and what I really like is that they address you by name. At times I have been assistance to get parcels from my vehicle, helped to take parcels to my vehicle. They are also keen to explain better ways to access mail whether it be advice on bulk mailing to pricing options. Queries are always answered and are always willing to help find items.Best service all round... Great to start the day with a smile...

They are good...the bald guy may come across as rude sometimes but he's not bad, it depends how sensitive you are, I think the people complaining here are too soft and need to take the bubble wrap off

I went to check on a package with a tracking number provided.The older gentleman working there presented an attitude from the very start.Even before I had a chance to explain what I was hoping to achieve, he insisted that the email I had as well as a tracking number was a scam.It took a bit of persistence and persuasion to prompt him to enter the checking number and check the system.As it turned out it was not a scam, the package was real and it was in a distribution centre.Clearly people like that should not be employed in a service industry, where they make a judgement even before they allowed themselves to listen, which is a basic pre requisite for those engaging in the customer based enterprise.

Very disappointing and Rude service . The bald guy has no customer service skills what do ever and has no idea how to deal with people with disabilities after what I just witnessed in there. I feel so sorry for the lady in there as she is lovely and very professional

I went there to pick a package up on the ticket it said pick up at 4:30pm. I turned up at 4:27 the old guy looked at the clock and said bit early aren't you? Then rolled his eyes. I wish I could give a zero

Rude and condescending service. Does not able with COIVD-19 social distance rule. I missed the mail delivery there for I only get a 30min window for collection. Will never be dealing with them again.

Dismissive, awkward, offer no solutions. Terrible atmosphere and not helpful.

Seconding the bad feedback on the bald guy- very rude. Clearly doesn't want to be in customer service and thinks he knows everything. Wish this wasn't my local, the people downtown are much nicer.

Would give 0 stars if I could..This review is about 2 interactions at the Australia Post East Lismore Branch one from 2013 and one from a few days ago in 2022.2013 review- Went to this post office sometime in 2013 as it was my local as I needed to apply for a passport. The bald old guy at the time told me it was impossible to get one in the short time frame that I mentioned in a rude/blunt and self assured matter of fact way...As it turns out he was completely WRONG with the information he gave me because I attended the next closest Aus post who had no issue with the exact same timeframe/passport application request and I was easily able to get the passport!Have always avoided this post office since this interaction in 2013 and attended other local post offices but a few days ago my husband attended the same East Lismore post office..Review for 2022- Husband wanted to get a photo and apply for a passport renewal. The same old man responded with an eye roll and loudly and rudely said “Really, a passport photo at 3:30 in the afternoon!?” Before looking at the passport application and noticing that our printer had cut off a small amount of writing at the bottom of the completed paperwork which he rudely pointed out and shoved the paper back toward my husband…sure he was correct about the paperwork but how hard is it to politely say this or politely suggest coming in at another time instead of showing customers such rudeness.The bald old man does not suit this job role and could do with some customer service training.. I’m guessing he runs this post office branch because I couldn’t imagine him being in this role for long if working for someone else.To end the review I’d say that the old guy is super rude when asked to fulfil basic expected tasks of the job role, is a know it all whilst not hesitating to give the wrong information as personally experienced and I suggest avoiding this branch like the plague and attending one of the other local post offices if possible.
