5 stars for the young gentleman Peter who had the best customer service skills. He was friendly knowledgeable and more than happy to help. Previously had terrible service at this store but I had no choice in this instance. Was more than surprised to have the problems rectified so quickly. Ask for Peter when going in store

Absolutely appalling service, this is a phone shop not a doctors surgery. The organisational system of booking appointments is very poor and disorganised, if you book an appointment you will still have to wait roughly an extra hour or more. Staff cannot manage to create an order in the system. Don’t bother going here just order directly on the Telstra app or call Telstra direct. If responding to this post Telstra owner, I will give you the same advice we were given in your shop “just chill out”. Wild horses could not drag me into your shop again, I’ll go to Cairns or Mareeba if I want to physically look at a phone to purchase. If there was a negative star rating you would have it. Train your staff to do their job effectively, train your staff in techniques for helping customers and look at boosting your internet speed, it’s not impossible.

UPDATE: Just had call from local area manager and he has promised to address this negative experience. Has just earned Telstra an additional 2 stars for doing so.OP: Horrible service. Arrogant, unhelpful and dismissive. I think employees in so-called customer service industries think they can get away with anything given employers have so little to choose from.Maybe if I'd gone in to buy a new product things might have been different.UPDATE 2/3/23: Well, I'm seriously starting to wonder whether I am being BS'd to.After supplying Telstra Area Sales Manager with evidence of patchiness and unreliability of service in the area, I was assured that:1. 5G was in the process of being implemented and was just waiting for approval from local Council, and 2. An additional tower was due to be commissioned within a month to address coverage issues.To date (almost 12 months later) neither has eventuated. Is this Telstra's idea of customer service, or am I being told what I want to hear to shut me up?!I've contacted Telstra again explaining the reasons for my concern, primaly that when we lose mains power (which can occur often during storm season), we also lose NBN which means no phone service other than mobile. As I am carer for my mum who has potentially life-threatening breathing condition, having reliable service is obviously of paramount importance.Please do better Telstra.

Fabulous service, had the exact model, memory capacity and colour I needed. They even set my new phone up quickly, including case and screen protector, with a smile!

We were so happy to find a telstra store as we live in a rural area. However we were confronted with the most ungracious, unhelpful, disinterested retail service we have encountered in a long time and went away with our mobile service problem unsolved . I might add that the shop was empty with no other customers and were advised that we would have to wait 40 minutes and told that we could not book a time for the following day either. We suggest that that particular staff member receive training on customer service and their work hours and productivity be monitored.

Tried to make an appointment to come and purchase and it hung up on me. Terrible service.

No time for people better off going to Cairns

We had to wait around 30 min to be seen (they called us when they were ready so we browsed other stores). The lady who saw us helped out and answered all of our questions though she was a bit curt.

The woman at the front desk was very blunt and rude, however I was happy with the tech staff member that helped me out with getting a new phone. I was initially told they didn't have any screen protects and that I would have to go buy one from a nearby store. Once I got 90kms home and went to set up my new phone I realised it wasn't working. So I called them up and I was given 3 days to return it or it would take 6-8 weeks to get it swapped. So I was forced to drive straight back in to swap it where I found out they had 100's of screen protects. A week later I received an email saying they failed to transfer the old phone into my name correctly and If I didn't fix It they would bill my account.Appalling customer servive and a true nightmare to deal with.
