I've been following Melissa Martin Photography for a while and love her ethos and the work she outputs. I've always tried to fly under the radar as a business owner till it came time to market my personal brand. Choosing Mel to do my branding shoot was an absolute no brainer. I arranged for Mel to take some professional photos for my business and she was fantastic. The preparation process was very thorough. Mel took the time to sit down with me to really understand my business and what I needed. Mel then sourced the locations and helped with wardrobe. Mel had a relaxed yet professional approach throughout the photo shoot. This helped us feel at ease and that is reflected in the amazing photos she captured. We were a large group - 10 adults and 5 children (under 3 years old including a newborn!!). Mel coordinated the group well staging group shots as per the brief and then capturing some wonderful candid shots.She arrived early at the destination shoot to scope out the best spots for lighting, etc and this ensured our photoshoot was very efficient (very important when dealing with toddlers and babies!!)Within the agreed time frame Mel had the final photos ready for viewing and they are perfect! I have done a number of photo shoots with Mel and despite my nerves being in front of a camera, I am always thrilled with the gallery of photos she creates for me. Mel has such a calming nature and is an absolute dream to work with. She always puts so much time and care in planning out each shoot. Such a positive experience (for a family who hate having photos taken!!). Melissa managed to capture beautiful shots of everyone, including two 3 year olds and two newborns on a super hot day and the final photograph were perfect. But I think one of the best aspects of the whole experience was the constant communication, follow up and general flexibility and accommodation she gave me and my family, from the planning of the session, the session itself and the viewing/choosing of the final photos. Really pleased with the whole thing, thank you!

We had Mel for our engagement party and from the beginning she has just been amazing to deal with. She is the quickest of all suppliers I've ever had to reply and never makes anything sound like it's too complicated. It really is so nice to be able to book someone who will always respond and go above and beyond to help you. The photos looked amazing and we've really enjoyed being able to see a different side of the party that Mel provided. All our guests commentated how she was so accommodating and wasn't ever interrupting them to get the shot she was after. She didn't mind at all how many places we dragged her around to take group shots. I will definitely be recommending her in the future and look forward to booking her for more events.
