I'm so glad I chose GSD Automotive when I needed a new mechanic after moving to Melbourne a little over a year ago. I couldn't have made a better choice. I have had my car serviced a couple of times with them and some parts replaced and they have done a fantastic job every single time with very affordable prices. I am especially thankful for them making time for me and helping me out when my car broke down a couple of weeks ago and I was able to be on the road again the next day. They genuinely care about you and the quality of their work is paramount. Can't recommend them enough! So much gratitude! ❤

Had a starting issue with my little Honda Civic where I attempted to fix it myself but made it worse. I needed some wiring sorted for the ignition switch and called up 25 Auto Electricians with most turning me away as they didn't want to be liable for any issues, they caused trying to fix it, some were booked out for 4 weeks or more and some didn't call me back. I called GSD and spoke to Dom who had the earliest availability, so booked it in and took it there 2 weeks later. Dom was welcoming, polite and took the time to listen to the issue and advised me that it should be easy to fix but it may take a few days to resolve - which was fine by me as I had been without a car for more than 4 weeks already.Expecting a call 3 or 4 day later, I received a call the following day after dropping it off and was told it was ready to be picked up and the car was running perfectly. I couldn't have been happier with the quality of the work, cost, turnaround time and customer service provided. I will be taking my car there for all mechanical work in the future.Thanks to the GSD Automotive team for getting me back on the road! If I could give more stars, then I would!

Such professional and high quality services. I have used these mechanics on multiple occasions and have always been very impressed with how honest their charges are. A no truer example of this was that today my headlight bulb went, so I went into autobarn who told me that it would cost $72 and take at least 30 minutes. I called GSD automotive who said that I could bring it in now. I watched the mechanic take all of about 2 mins to put a new bulb in and the total cost was $18.65. I am so pleased that this mechanic was recommended to me years ago. I would not go anywhere else.

Not the GSD I recall from when Bob and co were here . . .Highly disappointed - but at least my boot opens now!Phoned GSD Automotive (and another mechanic) a week in advance and booked in an appointment for a quote to fix some wiring in the boot which wouldn’t open.I wanted 2 quotes as I had been experiencing financial difficulty (like many in Melbourne!)Upon arrival I reiterated the fact that I am experiencing financial difficulty and would like a quote only.Joe assured me that I would receive a quote only via phone before they proceeded to fix it.I received a phone call later that day explaining the work had been done and it would cost $150.I arrived and explained to Joe that I wanted a quote only. He explained it was an easy job - just a small wiring issue - 30 mins to diagnose - 30 mins to repair.So I said - I’m paying for $75 per half hour of your time when in Melbourne the average hourly rate for a mechanical labour is around $70?He said he’d see what he could do . . .The manager approaches me and asks me to explain all of the above, which I did.His solution was-A. You can pay the $150 ORB. You can pay $75 and I’ll cut the wiring and you can have it fixed elsewhere.Needless to say - I paid the $150, and left really disappointed and will never trust the new management of GSD Automotive.

So far pretty good experience; fair prices. Will update as I have just started with them.

It has been a struggle to find a trustworthy automotive service. Running a business where driving on a daily basis can be time consuming, GSD serviced the car in no time and put us back on the road to continue business. Highly recommended and will be taking all cars to GSD in the near future.

Fantastic place cannot recommend it highly enough. Trustworthy, friendly and professional service. Flagged a few issues with my elderly car with a realistic assessment of costs. Very reasonable price for general service. Allow plenty of time to get your car booked in as this place is deservedly popular.

I decided to get my car serviced here due to other very good reviews online. Mine will be no different - I highly recommend this place. Very reasonable price, and there was something wrong with my car (I knew about it before going there) and even he was surprised when he managed to get it fixed that same day. I was planning to have no car for at least 2 days and received notification later the same day that I could pick it up. If I don't change location again then I'll definitely continue to take my car here.
