Car was booked in today for service and was told to drop off the car at 8am. It is now 1030am and the shop is still not open and no one is answering the mobile phone number provided. Angry customers also standing out the front. Their new employee has turned up to work for his first day. Well done ultra tune! Pathetic!!

Excellent service from Terry at Ultratune Lidcombe. My car dealer and countless others were unable to supply and install a Start/Stop car battery. I definitely recommend Terry and will use Ultratune again.

I approached them today when they were off. There were hardly 2 guys there who were busy attending to their pending works.The team not only went out of their way to repair the tyre (puncture), they also were very kind to charge nothing for their work. Truly a great team!

Amazing and very friendly service. Gave them my car with a list of problems I’d been having for years and they repaired it all within a day at a very reasonable cost. Drives better now then when we bought it. Thank you Victor and Bryce. Very difficult to find a mechanic you can trust, I won’t be going anywhere else from now on.

I wish I had read these reviews prior to booking my car in for servicing.Ultratune at Lidcombe has lost my business as they were dishonest and unprofessional.Positives: Satish was polite and communicated well on the phone and via email when requested. This is the reason for the 1 star.Negatives:(1) Inefficient: They kept my car for 2 days as they were waiting on a part. When I came to pick up the car, they said that the part they ordered was installed but another part that they thought they had in stock was incorrect and asked if I could bring it back on yet another day.(2) Lack of honesty/professionalism + over-servicing: I was told that my car had failed a test on all 4 shock absorbers and that to replace these would be very expensive. I asked whether they needed to be urgently done to obtain my pink slip. They said that it could not wait until the next service as they would cause damage to other car parts so I consented to having them replaced. They replaced the front ones then did not have the part for the rear ones so I took the car home and got it looked at by another mechanic who said that there was no problem with the shock absorbers and that they did not need replacing.(3) Pricing: I was quoted a significant sum for the job (which turned out to be unnecessary). I agreed to this thinking that the parts must be expensive and that the mechanic had told me that it needed to be done. The shock absorbers took approximately 30-40 minutes to be installed. I know this because I was called by the business to say sorry for the delay, the parts had just arrived and they were being installed now. That it would take 30 minutes with 2 people. I arrived at the business less than an hour later and the car had been finished and in fact washed. So it could only have taken 40 minutes for that job be completed. When I checked my invoice he had charged me 2.5 hours for labour at >$110/hour. When I queried this Satish replied that some work had been involved in removing the shock absorbers before the phone call (2 hours worth??!, really?) and anyway, I had agreed to the quote. I think it is completely unethical to over-quote someone for labour then charge them the full amount when the job takes a fraction of the time to complete. The labour charges for the other parts of the service (2 hours for a standard service, 1 hour each for each change of brake pad) all seemed suspiciously inflated as well. I am not a mechanic, so perhaps these hours are standard, but I took my husband's car to a different mechanic yesterday and it was ready in under 1.5 hours and they charged us for only 1 hour's labour and less than $90/hour.I have never posted a bad review in the past but this business has cost me a lot of time and money.
