Hi Comp Performance Engines & Tuning

My VH SL/E 308 Trimatic was running terrible. Took it to High Comp performance and Joe and his team have it running beautiful after tuning my Rochester 4 barrel and reset the timing. I enquired about getting my triple webers sorted as they're running a little rough. They weren't able to assist, as they don't know how to set webers up. Not bagging the business, I'm sure they're good at modern vehicles. I gave 5 stars as I don't wish to hurt their business rating.

Joe and the team were excellent and handled my treasured vehicle with exceptional care and consideration. I brought Joe a brand new unstarted performance M10 BMW engine with Weber DCOE carburettors and a Haltech Elite 1500.Joe ran in my new engine like a professional on the dyno, taking care to bed in rings and gently run in a flat tappet cam. Joe returned me a car that made great power and was very well behaved in all the daily situations. Cold starts in a Canberra winter are a piece of cake and highway cruising in 5th gear all the way home from Sydney was no problem at all.3D ignition tuning with TPS/IAT/Coolant temp is the best possible way to optimise your carburettors on your performance engine build and Joe is an expert in making your engine work and drive properly in more than just wide open throttle. I now have a rally spec engine that drives as well as the stock engine at road speeds but happily sits on the rev limiter when requested.My final note would be that; Joe DiGiorgio seems to love the work that he does, and whilst he had many opportunities to say “not my problem” during my new engine shakedown, he persevered where many others would consider the work hours to profit ratio and call it quits. It’s often difficult to pick a tuner that you trust not to eject your rods through the block and then tell you it was a faulty build, this is not that man.I’ll be back to visit Joe again as I make adjustments to cam timing and other little N/A tricks and tips.

Thanks to Joe and the team at Hi Comp Performance for doing a great job tuning up my VF SSMy Gal has better fuel economy, better performance and sounds better. The power range is so smoothe all the way through the revs. You even managed to get rid of the drone I had when driving at a constant speedI'm sure I'll be back when I look at doing a cam or other mods
