Decent size selection, would describe as a specialty / special occasion butcher and not your typical everyday prices.Beautiful looking meats, and good choice of precooked pies, seafood, meat and vegetarian options.

Hill Top Farm Butchers are regular Farmers Market Sellers around numerous Bayside Markets. Unfortunately, I have had one of the very worst experiences ever, after purchasing their $10.00 Beef Pie & $10.00 Scallop Pies, which by the way, look fantastic from the outside appearance. After asking the lady, Is the Beef pie really chunky with Meat inside?"

I thought these guys looked pretty good on a recent trip to Phillip Island and I made a large purchase of pies, meat and sausages.The curried scallop pies looked great but were very bland and had way too much pastry. The brisket pie had flakey bits of meat, an over thickened and tasteless sauce. The pack of porterhouse steaks were rancid and full of gristle - even though they were in a sealed pack and within their use-by date - they were inedible! I have not been tempted to get the sausages out of the freezer yet!What a waste of money and very disappointing products from what I thought was a Gourmet Butcher.

Dissapointed after purchasing two of the Tassie Scallop pies on Monday. We heated them up today to have for lunch and they have all of four scallops inside and definately not Tasmanian. I am a chef by trade and originally from Tasmania and certainly know the flavour and appearance of true Tasmanian scallops. We as consumers have a right to ingredient origin its unethical to provide false information on purchased products.

Really good place to visit. The steaky bacon is the best we have ever bought. We spent a bit there because of the quality. Local products and also Tasmanian, King Island meats. The four pack of porterhouse steaks are thin cut and perfect for steak sandwiches if you're planning a bbq. Grabbed a box of steak knives that were well presented in a box. The are really sharp and a show piece. We recommend a stop and shop.

Very good value for top quality meats. If you compare the marbled steaks to the average quality stuff you get in Coles or Woolies, you'll want to keep going back to Phillip Island for more.

There's something about farm/cellar doors that makes them stand out. The meat is awesome of course but being served by the guy that does it all himself makes all the difference. Four steaks for $25 is the signage and it's hard to believe but the boss man explains it's because it's their grass fed and finished cows, their farm and their butchering. Bonus - they have delicious fresh crackling. I'll be wandering down the road regularly!

I purchased a four pack of scotch steak fillets. Ohhh my word, unbelievably beautiful. Tender, juicy, flavoursome and pieces were thinly cut. I brought this at the local farmers market and only regret was I didn’t buy more!
