They charge you for the food decent meal but don't give you the same food quality what you pay for..all the packet food warm in microwave

Food was good but waited 2 1/2 hrs from ordering to food served. 2 hrs between first plate served and last at our table.

Really good parmas. I had the traditional one but there were several options available on the parma menu. I didn't taste them but the some of the other meals looked good too.Decent beer garden out the back if you get the weather for it. I visited one evening after cycling on the rail trail from Tallarook. Pleasantly surprised.

A great location after a hard days cycling the Great Victoria Rail TrailAfter 5 hours cycling from Tallarook, the Hungry Horse Hotel was the perfect location to finish our first day. You could see it from the rail trail as you approach Molesworth, and only a few hundred meters down the road.I have driven past Hungry Horse many times before on the way to Mt Buller. But this has been the first time I had stopped in and it is quite a treat.Earlier on the trail some farmers asked if we were stopping there; and it was a real surprise to see how Hungry Horse draws in the locals from the surrounding areas. Protip: make sure you book a table for dinner on weekends and have a great country pub meal. Such a large dining room fills very fast.The road quietens very quickly as it gets dark, and the next morning it is quite magical watching the sunrise on the nearby hills.You can order a simple breakfast to be delivered to your room for the next day. Or the next morning you could also stop at Yark another 30 minutes cycling - if you are not cycling to Alexandra.
