Headland Golf Club

Good all round facility. Course is challenging, interesting and presentation was good. The back 9 especially good with some outstanding holes. Tees in particular were in excellent condition although we were restricted to the very edge of most of them. My other complaint would be the fact that all bunkers were out of play awaiting renovation. This is fine but a discount in green fee is warranted. Prices here are at the right level if the full course was in play. Overall a good golfing experience and worth the visit.

Meetup Group attended the Headland Golf Club on St. Patrick's Day, evening meal. About 40 of us attended.I made the mistake of having the pan fried Whiting as a main course.This was rubbish as the fish was about 3mm thick, in roughly 4 small portions .Very poor meal.....I would have done better going to a fish & chip shop.No Irish music provided at all.For St Patrick

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Headland Golf Club and it was incredible! Tina and the girls were excellent with the organisation and very flexible when needing to adjust some things such as number of guests. They created a beautiful table layout, the food was incredible and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!

The course was in great condition and good fun to play, with some scary quick and challenging greens thrown in for good measure!Food and drinks on the deck post game were the perfect way to end an all round enjoyable experience.

I don’t usually write reviews and/or give 1 star ratings as I am a quite positive and optimistic person, however I thought I should write this and bring this to your attention as myself and my family have been quite disappointed with the restaurant in the Club and the procedures/management of how it is run. The past 2 experiences I have had with my family at the restaurant, myself and my family have been let down and disappointed - therefore leaving the restaurant with a a unsatisfied/upsetting end to the night.The first experience within the restaurant, we waited for our meals for approximately 45mins-1hour. Within this time, I checked to see where our meals were from one of the staff members and I was told they had run out of gas. If I didn’t ask, I wouldn’t have known and we would’ve waited even longer... We then asked for a refund and went somewhere else as we were quite hungry and sick of waiting.The second experience (Friday night), my brother booked a table the day before over the phone and on arrival, we were told there was no booking. Additionally, we ordered our meals quickly so we could beat the rush - which we thought we did. However, we waited for 1-hour and 30-mins for our food, and it still didn’t come out. People that ordered well after us received their meals in a timely manner. We were disgusted and frustrated that we had to wait this long, without any communication by the person in charge and/or the four waitresses/waiter. There seemed to be other people who were waiting a long time as well (as I saw people waving their table number around for the staff to see). The staff member that saw them waving their table number just gave them a thumbs up and walked off (absolutely no communication).The food was left out for a long period time underneath the heat lamps and I saw waitresses standing around and fluffing about with the receipts looking confused and/or didn’t know what to do with the food (even though there were 4 of them on for that night).We did receive a complimentary garlic bread, however this was given to us after waiting 50-mins into the already long wait. We were told that “your food would be out next” which it wasn’t, and saw other tables being delivered their food. It got to 8pm (and we ordered at 6:32pm) still no food, so we decided to get a refund instead (not worth our money and time if we are waiting for 1.5 hours for food when other people who ordered well after us were being fed).As addressed above, this is disappointing as not only was my family and myself looking forward to eating our meals, but, we love Headland Golf Club and my parents have been members for a very long time. However, it is sad that the restaurants’ system and lack of communication to their customers lets down the Club, specifically, the bar. The bar staff and their professionalism and management are absolutely fantastic - I couldn’t fault them.In contrast, something seriously needs to be done with the restaurant management, the system between ordering food and delivering it to the tables and communication between the restaurant staff and customers.Thank you.

What a shame to hear the man behind the bar speak to the other staff members so poorly. The staff where doing a fantastic job! His misogynistic performance was unnecessary and cruel. No way to speak to anyone let alone women on Mothers Day.

Great course to play in great condition. Greens and tee boxes are in great condition, greens were reliable, fast and challenging. The clubhouse is friendly and modern. The course and friendly atmosphere hasn't changed. Regimen booking a tee time.

Beautiful course.Well kept, a lot of dosh going into new bunkers, they'll be awesome.Definitely go the cart for this hilly course, we'll be back.

Called the pro shop a week out to Book a social round on the weekend and no mention at the time or on the website of the course renovations that were underway.No bunkers in play2 holes completely closed2 par 5s turned into a par 4 and par 3.Hitting off Synthetic Turf on a par 3 as the tee shot.And they charge full price!!Would definitely not recommend playing here until renovations are complete or if they adjusted their green fees to suit the conditions.I find not letting the public know the conditions until they arrive for their round and pay very deceiptful.
