Always a great experience at Hector's. Friendly staff, great food, and a relaxing atmosphere. We were lucky to get an outside table on a perfect day by the water at Goolwa. Excellent local wine from Bleasdale, tasty garlic bread, and a seafood platter from around SA. We are truly in a great state.

Fantastic service, friendly and enjoy a good laugh! Food was phenomenal and atmosphere/ location was great. Highly recommend…. The sticky date with apricot was my fab by far.

While in a lovely setting with friendly staff, food was a letdown, ordered flathead chips and salad for my wife and I to share, was pretty pricey at $32 , made worse by a $5 charge for an extra plate. Fish was not flathead, salad leaves were brown, and chips were frozen bag French fries

Great little find almost tucked away under the Hindmarsh Island bridge at Goolwa. We dropped in for Sunday brunch. It was busy, but we were seated right away. Service from the owner was awesome. Bacon and scrambled eggs cooked perfectly and the fruit and nut toast with banana, honey and cream was delicious.

Unpleasant experience trying to get some take away here. Two muffins costed over $18 and tasted stale. Being told can’t serve anything even a takeaway coffee because all the tables are booked (most of tables were actually available). We’re not even asking for a table and understood there is a pub holiday surcharge, but things are pricey and staff aren’t welcoming. Not recommended at all.

Great experience. I’d say a little on the pricey side. But all up the food was good and the service was great also.I like the fit out and the views.

Reading other reviews we thought this would be a perfect stop for a takeaway coffee as we explore the wharf, sadly not so perfect.Staff were pleasant enough however, I got a sense that a takeaway coffee was all too hard. One size coffee on offer, fine.Surcharge for credit card, fine.Feeling like my order was all too hard, particularly when wanting to purchase another drink, not so fine.I'm still baffled at the cost disparity between drinks... $7.50 for half-size almond hot chocolate when a full size almond coffee is $7. Go figure.Wouldn't suggest stopping for takeaway coffee. Try your luck at one of the other available options along the wharf.

The person taking orders was extremely rude, asking us to stand on the front on the deck which was fine as cafe busy. But not allowing the child with us time to pick her ice cream. We then went in to request sugar in coffee and was rudely asked to wait outside for our coffees again, felt as though we were not suitable people to be in restaurant after forth time being asked to wait outside rather than a customer. Unfortunately I had noticed how fabulous food looked and was intending to return but not if proprietors treat people this way.

Breakfast is great. Went in for lunch with a friend, beyond our Pension" budget. Would have been good
