Our bedroom, with three large windows, fronts onto one of the busier Brisbane city streets. The difference is fantastic. The service was great and delivery was prompt and efficient. I'd recommend them without hesitation based on our experience.

We bought an apartment in Clontarf on a busy road. As you do when you are purchasing (during the day) it seemed like the windows did have enough sound -proofing that the traffic would not be a problem. We used the apartment infrequently and found ourselves awake late at night and early in the morning due to the traffic noise. We got the secondary double -glazing fitted and to be honest were not optimistic that it would make any impact on the level of noise -we were experiencing. I thought that it was possible that it was a waste of money - even at the 60% reduction in noise suggested by the brochure. We were both amazed at the level of noise reduction we have and would suggest it is closer to 80 or 90%. It is fantastic. The installation however was not seamless:We had a sliding door and a smaller window in one of the bedrooms. The roller blind for the sliding doors was removed and then reattached - which resulted in the whole blind becoming detached - taking with it plaster etc. This was repaired but that should not happen. Also in a misunderstanding (we actually thought they were referring to the secondary glazing location) they place the roller blind in the smaller window between the secondary glazing and the window. This looks ridiculous and as we take the blame for misunderstanding, however, when is that a good and professional installation look? It was however, the easier installation method and to be frank it has significantly detracted from any enjoyment we get from the reduced noise levels.Lastly, an installation in one of the spare rooms the glass was foggy and could not be cleaned. I was advised BY THE INSTALLER, that this was a fault in the glass and whole secondary glass installation would need to be replaced. I had to chase Winsulation for this to happen (more than once). The glass was eventually repaired by cleaning it with JIF. The internal communication made this situation take a frustratingly long time and I would have preferred that cleaning had been done on installation not several months later after I had been lead to believe there was a fault.I would recommend secondary double installation - it does work. In terms of Winsulation, be clear on your communication

Sales staff were very friendly and attentive. Delivery and installation process was, similarly, a pretty seamless experience.Unfortunately, that is where the good experience ends. The quality of the product, ultimately, was well below expectations. We purchased secondary double glazing for the front porch windows and also the front bedroom window of our property, which fronts a reasonably busy road, so road noise was our initial problem for engaging Winsulation. When the product was first installed, it felt as if there was some benefit, but not a particularly significant reduction. I considered it to be ‘it is what it is’ type scenario and moved on.However, a few months later, I was sitting on the couch in the living room and felt as if the road noise was particularly loud. I downloaded a Decibel Meter app and attempted to test the effectiveness of the product myself. What I found was that when a car was driving past, there was no difference in the sound that was registered on the DB meter when the secondary glazing was open compared to when it was closed. This proved to some degree that the product was almost entirely ineffective. When I raised this finding with the Salesperson he was at first engaging though it did take him some weeks to properly respond. He offered to come back to my property and see for himself. The tests he performed on his DB meter were inconclusive, and so he said he would be back in a few weeks after returning from holiday to conduct a ‘constant sound’ test, like a radio blasting directly through the window. After a few weeks, I had not heard any response and so I followed up again only to never receive another response. At this point, I conducted the ‘constant sound’ test myself and found that the product generated a 10% noise reduction benefit, at best - certainly not close to the benefits touted in the brochure or on their website.Overall, I would not recommend this product at all and firmly believe it was essentially a waste of $3.5k.

Flawless from enquiry stage , quote , check measure and install. All on time all professional. Thanks guys amazing product you have just extended the house by two rooms and as cheesy as it sounds make me smile whenever a car goes by and enjoying just the general lack of any sound, can imagine cooling benefits will be fantastic too as when opening and closing entrance to room there is a vacuum effect that wasn’t there prior. Amazing service you guys provide and worth every cent

5/5 for laughs (or tears), 2/5 for service.Operating based on the idea the customer doesn't know what is going on and winsulation won't tell them unless they are pursued on the matter, here is a litany of errors and tom foolery we have experienced with winsulation:1. Getting the lounge window replaced. They came in measured it up they had the correct details, when it came to insulation they had a window with a single pane and an extension for the rest which was clearly incorrect. The installer tried to pressure us to installing the single pane anyway.2. Living room double sliding doors. When installed made horrid screeching noise and got caught on the block. Took months for them to fix it once notified of the problem.3. Were notified it would take approximately 6 weeks for install, ended up taking months to only have some of the windows installed without the security screens, which would be installed later.4. During the install they stained the blinds in such a way we couldn't remove the stains. (We understand some things can be difficult to avoid.) Despite having communicated multiple times in the past, and having our phone number. Their operations manager dropped by to have a look but didn't bother calling us when he was. Instead he claimed some time later nobody was home, but clearly he was unfamiliar with how to operate a telephone to let us know when he would be dropping by.5. On the last lot of work we wanted the quote to include a void in the living room. They included it on the quote, had the expectation we would pay for it, and then when they turned up to install, such a piece was impossible and they never intended to install something in that space. Fortunately we are going to have that piece taken off the invoice, but when looking at this mistake in relation to the list of other errors, one can only assume it is just business as usual.6. When the screens were finally put in, they were put in shoddily, with incomplete joins, despite spending in excess of $20k. When contacted about the matter, claimed it was temporary and would be fixed when another issue was addressed. 2 points regarding this. 1 it is quite possible to simply say it is temporary while putting them in, or 2, simply not installing them in a temporary fashion and doing the job correctly the first time. Can't help but be left with the impression they were just going to see if they could get away with it.7. In general it is hard to get a call back. The receptionist is great and obviously tries their best. The installers are hit and miss, some of them go the extra mile and have done some great work, while others try and bully their way through and try to just move onto the next job.In general I would say be very wary and question everything. It looks like they still have some good people there and have done some good work in the past. but after spending more than $50k with them we certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone else and advise the management to take a careful look at themselves and think about what is going wrong.PS. Transparency with the customer would be a start.

We have used Winsulation 3 times to install double glazing PVC windows since 2016. The first two jobs were ok, and we were satisfied with the end result. The last job in 2020 was a complete disaster. It took over one year to complete a $58,000 install to replace all windows and doors in our house. They engaged contractors who did not know how to install the items properly and we ended up with over 600 defects and had to go through QBCC to get to a resolution. The poor quality of the installation left long lasting damages that could not be fixed, or issues that are showing now that the 1 year warranty is gone. They sacked their production manager as a result of his incompetence. They are just greedy and disappointing to deal with.

It’s been a pleasure dealing with Winsulation from beginning to end. It was a seamless process made easier by Warren who dealt with everything from quoting, ordering to booking. I was a bit hesitant at first because of the cost and it took a little while for the windows and doors to be made, but the crew that installed it were professional and friendly and there was no mess to clean up or painting required when they left.We were at our wits end because of noisy neighbours and were ready to sell, but the new windows and doors from Winsulation reduce the noise by 70 to 80% and we love living in our house again. Don’t hold off. I'd definitely use Winsulation again in the future and recommend them to anyone.

numerous attempts at trying to get a salesperson to take an order, obviously making too much money. Update, had a call come through from sales who saw the review I posted so looking forward to our quote as we have used them before and never had an issue (2014 house build).

Amazed at the performance of the secondary double glazing. My wife and I are extremely happy with the product and can't rate Winsulation highly enough for their professional workmanship.

Great and professional installation. Frames look like they were originally installed with the house. Good colour match. The 10cm offset works excellently at blocking both noise and the western setting sun. Price is also very reasonable compared with UPVC frames. Recommend.
