Universal Customs Brokers really helped me out as I had been put into a position that all my personal effects had to be removed from New Zealand at short notice.They were a pleasure to deal with at every step of the process, and everything was handled very easily, nothing was ever a problem. My situation was even more complex as I owned the shipping container that was used and it's survey had run out. A new survey was organised and the shipment was on its way.The one thing that sets Universal Customs Brokers apart is Emilio gave diligent instructions up front which ensured strong compliance with all quarantine regulations. I really like the way he operates as this approach is by far the best way for everyone to operate in.And he gave me many practical examples of how to do things properly the first time: As I was bringing personal effects into Australia which contained a vacuum cleaner Emilio told me to dispose of the dust bag as it will contain biological material which presents a hazard to Australia. Makes perfect sense, but I wouldn't have known this if I wasn't told. And I'm very grateful for the advice.He also gave me instructions on how to fasten everything down inside the container to prevent damage during transit, then asked me to email him photographs of the tie down straps-just to make sure that I had done it correctly. I really appreciated this attention to detail.On arrival in Australia he even gave some of his time driving the forklift to load up my rental truck, then brought out a bottle of ice cold water for me during loading.My shipment contained a 42 year old Flying Doctor shortwave Radio originally from RFDS Jandakot which is now a collectors item, and a model plane back to Australia. The model plane has a wingspan wider than the width of the container, and the whole shipment arrived on time with no damage.

Hi everyone,Coming back from a family visit in good old Germany I went through customs in Perth with a gold bullion in my pocket. The boarder security took it off me on the spot and also charged tax on it. This obviously really upset me but with Rob’s help and the required “formal entry” I was able to pick it back up the following day. One stop solution for shipping. No Drama. Very Communicative at every stage. Due to covid-19, i wasn't able to travel back to Perth. I decided to get my GR Yaris shipped to me. Contacted UCB, gave them the details and authority to pick the vehicle. Communication from UCB was done at every single stage with photos attached, e.g. picking up the vehicle, arrival at the warehouse, stuffing of vehicle prior to shipment. It took only 3 weeks from picking up the vehicle to me receiving the vehicle. Also instructed UCB to pick up 30 boxes of personal effects to get them shipped with the vehicle. Upon arrival at destination, i personally entered the container and was totally impressed by how the stuffing of personal effects were done. Totally neat and secured. Boxes were all patelised and wrapped, secured with fasteners. All communications were done via email and phone. Seriously very good service end to end. A follow up was done by UCB to myself one day after un-stuffing of the container. No hestiation for me to use them in near future. A big thank you to the team at UCB especially Emilio, Danny, Roberto and Sharon.
