Beacon Lighting Gosford

I have been working for 17 yrs, not once in my life I ever closed the shop or shut a customer out at the end of my shift or past my shift. I was at beacon just over two minutes past closing time today 23rd August at West Gosford as I urgently needed some lights. One of the Reps at the counter saw me and shutdown all the lights indirectly asking me to go away without the basic courtesy of telling the customer that store is closed for the day even if they are unable to serve a customer past closing time. It is manners and they matter.Before someone pounces at me saying that I was rude to show up at the shop past closing time and expect to be served or I should have planned my life better, emergencies do happen even with light bulbs. This review is more about customer service than anything else. It is very rude to shut the door on someone's face even guests or not greet someone at the door esp. when it is a business and you are around & have seen them.

After getting the wrong information telling me the lights shade weren't made for the light fixtures I wanted, I bought different light shades and globes I went home and googled. Found what I wanted so this time I took a screen shot. Chris served me and was very good exchanging all my purchases. Chris explained what the different globes were and the best place to use them. I want to thank her for her knowledge and patience. The lights look fantastic .

Great service. The staff are polite and helpful. The product variety is good. Will always shop here for lighting and electrical equipment.

Really great place, clean and tidy. Very knowledgeable staff and prices are surprisingly very reasonable. I would say the only improvement needed is that staff should be approaching their customers instead of the customer having to ask for assistance.

They've completely stuffed my order. An order was placed on Aug 28th for 4 simple lights that I was told would be delivered within 4 days, and also that I would be called when they came in. 3 weeks later, no call received, so I called them yesterday. Was told that they would follow up and call me today. No call. I called them this afternoon to be told that they've been shipped and they're on the truck" but they had absolutely no idea when the lights would be arriving. No shipping number. No idea when the lights will arrive in their store. Can't let my electrician know if/when the lights will arrive. "We'll call you when they arrive." Fat chance. First and last involvement with Beacon Lighting."

Unfortunately, had a very bad customer experience dealing with this store. We bought a number of items back in November to take advantage of their specials and secure the stuff we needed for our new house, they agreed to hold them for us until our house was as the fans were in stock. This week We call the store to let them know we are going to collect them and they told us they sold our half our of our items to other customers and now they are on back order until August, the only option they offered was to sell us a more expensive product at full price they have in stock or refund our money. Now shopping last minute will cost us more!! Handled very poorly, 0 stars.

Dreadful customer service, made to feel like an nuisance when I questioned staff member (dark haired girl very surly) about the fan I was purchasing. When the purchase was completed I had to carry the fan out myself. Dreadful manners and lazy. All she was interested in was talking to another staff member (male).The staff at the weekend are more helpful and assisted me to carry purchases to care.

Very impressed with the service. We had trouble syncing our remotes to the ceiling fans, Belinda stayed on the phone with us and talked us through the process for all 4 rooms until we had them working perfectly. So grateful for your time and patience. Thank you Belinda
