Dumaresq Dam
A small dam and a picnic area. Mountains behind the reservoir as you first come into it reminds us of Tasmania with the clouds hanging around. There’s a circuit walk around the reservoir which is interesting.

A popular picnic place near Armidale city which changes colour through the seasons. Birds are its main attraction, and you get a magnificent view of Duval hill behind the lake. Picnic facilities like barbecue, toilets, children’s park, walking tack up to the Duval mountain is available here.

Lovely 2km (one way) nature walk, lots little birds. The path is muddy and wet in some parts after rain, but that's really what nature walks are all about.The path ends where construction is happening, need to walk backwards to return to the beginning of the walk.
