Cheong Wildflower Sanctuary
The Cheong Wildflower Sanctuary appears neglected, with signs asking the nearest neighbours not to drop their lawn clippings into the reserve. Not a lot of wildflowers to be seen in early September. No facilities. Runs along the railway line.

Cheong Wildflower Sanctuary
The Cheong Wildflower Sanctuary is a Council reserve located on the corner of Eastfield Road and The Pass, Croydon but big note here: this reserve is not accessible to the public but can be viewed from the boundary fence. It occupies 1.2 ha (3 acres) and is mostly covered by bushland. There are also grass spaces inside and around the reserve boundaries. The parcel of land was once part of a large farming property owned by the Cheong family, who donated it to the Council in 1952. A covenant on the reserve’s title designates it as a sanctuary for the preservation of native flora.Recently well thought out planting has meant the park is returning to its original status.Well worth a visit, even though you can't go inside the reserve.
