Having no decent vegetarian option is really disappointing.A garden salad is not a decent main meal option, especially when you add chicken to it.A vegi lasagne would keep a lot of people happy and is not that hard for a chef to prepare.

The atmosphere here is lovely, the fireplace was so nice to sit next to, good selection of drinks on tap and the service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to get my girlfriend her mulled cider (which she said was delicious). Heaps of cool memorabilia around the pub, overall an excellent place to get out of the cold and have a beer

My wife and I had dinner here and finished up with food poisoning and vomiting the next day. We can pinpoint the source of infection, as my wife had not eaten anything all day until dinner, where she had a pumpkin vegetarian dish with salad leaves etc. I shared a small portion of that meal.My wife notified the hotel by email. Without any response after some time I posted a negative review stating that we we were not able to continue with our wine tasting trip.The response from them stated that they had tested the food at an independent laboratory which did not show any contamination. They said that the review could harm their business, was defamatory, and if I did not remove it they would proceed with further action.I responded to this veiled threat of legal action by stating that they could not possibly have tested the same food, prepared by the same staff, under the same circumstances.Rather than continuing a pointless ongoing dispute in an act of good faith I removed my review and asked that they refund us the cost of the meal in return.Their previous aggressive response was followed by no response.

We had lunch in the beer garden and the food was some of the best pub food we have experienced. My Nepalese chicken curry was simply delicious, the meals for the rest of my family were first class.The beer garden is a delight and the interior decor of the pub is worth a visit just to see. It was one of the best pub lunch experiences l have had for awhile. I highly recommend this pub.

We popped in for lunch with a baby. The young fella behind the bar wasn't sure about much but he very quickly checked with another young" lady who had us sat in front of the open fire with a high chair in no time flat! The food was bloody good!The atmosphere was welcoming and we got to check out all the historic photos in the dining room.A must to stop at!!"

Such a great, cosy little pub!! Loved the fireplace and all the effort that's gone into the decor. Service was amazing, I ordered the mulled wine but it wasn't quite warm yet so she ran around and heated it for me so I could have some, and it was the best I've ever tried!! Such sweet service and a good range of drinks

Over priced, meal under cooked what was supposed to be a salad was just 2 pieces of tomato and leaves and no dressing, not enough chips. I had to leave half of the meal uneaten with no resolve of the poor service. Definitely won't be coming back to this pub in a hurry!

Really nice lunch reasonable prices take away available bar meals good atmosphere friendly staff . A few quirky things skeleton in floor . Glass enclosure Brewery you can see. Our door seating sporting memorabilia meals dinning area . Clean presentable definitely visit again.
