Brickpit Ring Walk

Pleasant walk, amazing to look at the history below, parts of which look just like they did when the abattoir railway line was there.

Short little walk. Has a few shelters with educational info on flora, fauna, history and habitats. Peaceful spot.

Nice and pleasant walking experience. Easy car parking. I did a full circle walk. I learned a bit history of the place. Bonus: many black swans. ❤️

Definitely one of those places you wouldn't know existed unless you were looking for it. It seems like the rest of Sydney don't know about it either. Quite a cool walk, barely a soul to be seen when I was there.

I recently visited the Brickpit Ring Walk and I must say, I was blown away! The scenic views of the surrounding nature were breathtaking. It felt like I was transported to a different world altogether. The walk was not too challenging and I was able to complete it at my own pace. Along the way, I encountered various plant and bird species that I had never seen before. The well-maintained trail is perfect for a leisurely walk or a more challenging hike, and the views are simply stunning. Very nice secluded area. Short distance away from the station and a short walk in of itself. Contains informative stands with limited shelter and seats.The view is quite unique, and shows sadly how bad algal blooms are in the waterways. As this is a habitat protection area, please leave your pets behind.Opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. No bathrooms, but located close to parks that do.

Beautiful and peaceful walk around the ring. Very well maintained with history information displayed on both entrances aswell as voice recording around the ring. On this afternoon we saw a turtle as well. Thankfully the park ranger was there to help put it out of harms way.

I saw this on Secret Life of Urban Birds and had to visit. Well worth a visit. Good for bird watching. There were hundreds (if not thousands) of waterfowl below. The information signs along the ring sometimes produce a voice, which spooked me a couple of times (there was no other visitors when I visited).Though this walk is great, it's not very long. If you're after something a bit more substantial, check out the Water Bird Refuge just 15 min walk from the ring.

This is a great walk the venue is very cool and the walkway itself captures the imagination. The water down the bottom is a touch in the stagnant side so needs some work but there are still birds in it so not toxic yet.Great part of the park and worth a visit.
