Encore Buffet Restaurant
It was really good! We had breakfast and a lunch here. The food is hot and fresh, with a good variety. The shanks were fantastic!The staff are friendly and courteous and it is very clean. I also like that they haven't jammed a heap of tables into the space, so you dont feel crammed in.

Stopped in for a buffet Dinner as a family of 4 on a Thursday night.The buffet section wasn't busy, so food turnover wasn't great. Could have been more variety.Strongly suggest you consider the hot stone plates... They are extra, but are made fresh.In hindsight we should have gone to the Italian restaurant across the hallway where meals where à la carte, which seemed more popular.

We went to Encore last night for our Anniversary.Food was terrible. Salad was limp, beetroot in huge chunks, in 1 salad was raw.. .. no chicken dishes, all red meat. Pork n Black Bean? Was bland and cold. Macaroni n cheese? Cold hard bread rolls!Pizza looked like it was leftovers from the day before!Hubby had prawns, which were nice he said.Definitely not impressed!

Staff were friendly and service was good. Food quality well below average. Pork was cold and tasted like it was boiled to get it tender and added to some bland gravy. Brisket died when the cow was slaughtered and again when it was cooked to death. Wagyu steak was the worst piece of boot leather ever and I have had a few(Hot Rock cooked Rare). Thai soup little to no flavour. Veges tasted like they were left overs from lunch. Vindaloo spicey as it should be but little to no flavour. Mash potatoes should be white not grey. No fruit juice available after paying for a drinks package. Not a decent green salad in the house. Friendly waitress manage to rustle up a few spinach leaves when asked. Very disappointing after reading fairly good reviews.

Have had awesome experience before for lunch. First time for Dinner. Decided to chose 7pm Greeted at till and paid up $36 x 5. No problems but I asked about drinks. This is extra Sir. I asked politely when did this change because last time soft drinks and cuppa’s were inclusive of the price. The reply was blunt, has always been the case for the last 5 years. No it hasn’t but I let it slide. Still do not know what the drinks package is all about as this wasn’t explained. So we ended up with water that was warm for the night. My opinion lunch is better value for your money as all you get extra for dinner is prawns.

After reading the reviews, I was prepared for the worst.I acknowledge that we cannot compare the food in a big city Mantra Hotel to a regional setting.We had 2 breakfasts and a dinner here.Considering the location, there was a large variety of food selection, including Mexican, Asian and Australian cuisine.I don’t think we should expect authentic dishes as there is no link to the communities.The pizza was quite good.The highlight of the dinner was the lamb shank, nicely cooked, good flavour. The wagyu add-on is a great idea, something special and everyone can cook it to their liking.The staff was attentive and hardworking.We had 2 breakfasts here. I understand that the barista coffee is an extra, however Nescafé is not a satisfying option.On our second occasion we arrived after 8 and the staff packed away all the bread by 8.35. We had the last pork sausages and they didn’t feel it up.Instead of the compotes I rather have a better selection of fresh fruits (there were a few apples only).Overall I gave 4 stars because most staff members were kind and really tried their best.

Came here for my father's birthday dinner this week. The staff were lovely but unfortunately every dish I tasted was not enjoyable. The flavours were either very dull or not pleasant to eat. The meals weren't cooked well either. I've never been to a buffet and disliked almost all of the options. There was also a very unpleasant smell in the restaurant, like off seafood. Sorry. Hopefully the cooking improves in future otherwise we will not be returning.

Friendly staff and great food. It is always clean and tidy. The woman who greeted us when we first got there was super helpful she set up a high chair for my 6 month old little girl and we had a great lunch. Thank you. Brilliant place to eat and affordable.

Overpriced average quality food. Prawns were mushy and soft, roast beef dry as, calamari worse than frozen packet stuff, wontons the same. Only good thing was beef cheeks that ran out and replaced with the dry roast beef. Have had far better quality food in workers camps. For that price better off eating at home.

After 3 visits, we are all in agreement, this is the worst buffet we've ever had. Dismal selection of dishes and even though we started dinner 15 minutes after they opened, most of the food was lukewarm. Chilli con carne without any hint of chilli and vindaloo beef curry but they definitely forgot the vindaloo. Tasted like a watered down beef stew. My daughter ordered the wagu stonegrill and their definition of wagu is a joke. Never again
