Robot Building Supplies

I used Robot Trading a number of years ago. Then, I got the feeling then that as I was a DIY'er and not a tradie, they couldn't care less and I was a bit of a nuisance. Not so this time! I only had a small order but Robot Preston were great. Special thanks to Caroline who was diligent in keeping me informed about the progress of my order. Robot Preston are a real alternative to the 'big green machine' just down the road and I will definitely use them again.

You find out about the culture of a business not when things go to plan, but when they don't.Two lengths of 40 x 40 duragal shs were great, the other two had white rust, but wasn't noticed until after I got it back to the workshop. Robot returns and defects are meant to be addressed within 7 days.Covid rolled through the family the next day so I wasn't able to get back to Robot Preston for nearly two weeks, (today), Dianne in the front office and David in the warehouse solved it straight away.Have been using Robot on and off since the early 90's in Collingwood when employed by other companies, and now using them for my own business. This is the first time I've had a defect and they rectified the situation on the spot.Thanks Dianne, David and Robot.

Friendly and helpful counter staff. The warehouse staff also help load and are very professional and efficient.

Putting this up by my self was easy with all the correct bits at the start. The robot team really knows their stuff.Oh and it was delivered when they said it was going to be.

Waited 2 hours for an order(in store). Was told previously that it was ready to go. Finally got the order to the job and was short, after we gave them the dimensions for the job. Also didn't add in the screws for the sheets. Will never purchase anything from these guys again

Was planning to order online but one of the items was not on the website. Sent an email through of my requirements to the Preston store delivery fee was $20 dollars more than on the website. Paid over the phone for goods on Thursday arvo was told would be delivered the following Tuesday. 2pm Tuesday afternoon I heard nothing so I called them. They told me it would be delivered the next morning. Delivery was dropped on the front nature strip with no notification. After going through my delivery I was missing items from my order. They neglected to notify my. So again had to chase up on my missing items and was told I had to wait until Friday. My whole experience was underwhelming to say the least.

Huge thanks to robot trading Preston. Particularly to Scott who has always taken the time to talk through the details of the order. Good communication regarding deliveries. Very patient in understanding custom metal orders. Completing a Owner Builder home over a 9 month period these guys and ladies were my preferred supplier for everything possible. Customer service that was frequently missing from many other suppliers.

I recently needed to buy a couple of large sheets of MDF which were far too big to transport in my car. The MDF was quite a bit cheaper than the same prouct at Bunnings and the delivery cost was significantly less. Ordering was easy online and it was delivered promptly by a friendly driver - thanx Robot!
