The owner asked why the poor review so here it goes...I got my bike serviced at East End Cycles, when I received it back, BOTH brakes completely failed, on the very first time using the brakes after the service, when I was on my way to work. These were clearly not checked during the service.I could have gotten into a serious traffic accident as I was told that the bike had been carefully checked from top to bottom. Clearly not.I took the bike back and was told that I had a bad branded brake set installed and that one of the brake pads had broken, which is fair, but the other brake also failed immediately after the initial service which was clearly not checked.As this is my only mode of transport I had to get a new brake set installed immediately at the shop, which would have been fine if this was picked up during the initial service and not in live traffic!When I told my wife about it, she said that she recalled another customer complaining about the brakes not having been checked when she dropped the bike off initially. Interesting...

Get my bikes serviced here, they always do a great job.. there’s always a great vibe in the shop when I’m there, recommended!

My First and second experience was great I purchased a bike and Nate the usual mechanic looked after me. Nate is passionate about what he does and does it properly. So I went back last Friday and Nate was on holidays but I left my new bike for a service as I just bought it second hand and I was unable to be given a time for collection. Was just told it would be done sometime over the weekend. So I left the store and received a call Saturday morning round 11:00/to say bike was ready. I picked up bike and when I went to ride it the gears had not really barely been touched. I paid $70 for a disservice so I then took it to 99 bikes. Where they looked at the bike and chain and the chain was not even correctly lubricated. I explained the situation and was given an on the spot gear fix. Sunday morning first thing. He spent time explaining to me how the bike best operated as I never had a race bike before. And best of all he charged me nothing. 99 bikes is Great for $5 you become a member and save up to hundreds of $s off of bikes and discount off everything else. I will never go to Standish cycles again. Sorry Nate your a brilliant mechanic but whoever the other guys are, are not competent or caring for the customer. You however are Nate.

Awesome customer service. They went above and beyond with servicing our bikes. Couldn't be happier!

Just got my road bike serviced ready for big ride tomorrow in the hills with my wife picking it up as I work in the city. I asked just for the gears to be checked and it came back with only the top chain ring working! Great, and I've arranged to leave at 7am in the morning. Did no-one check the gears were working? I like to support local business but if they cant do what they promise, or even check their work I'll go elsewhere.

By far the best bike shop I have been to. Great prices, super kind and you are supporting a family business. They did a fantastic job, will definitely be back!

I came in with my bike basket held on by one screw and they fixed it up free of charge! Brought my bike in for a service the following week and it was serviced at a great price and efficiently. A super friendly team passionate about what they do and the community!
