An absolute poor excuse of an ‘animal shelter’. This place refused to take three stray kittens as they were found on the border of the Redlands shire. Still technically in The Redlands. Accused me of ‘trying to dump’ these kittens and didn’t believe me that they were strays. You try and do the right thing and then you get treated with utter disrespect from these people. Absolutely disgusting. The receptionist and manager was condescending, rude, disrespectful and should not be working in this kind of job. How dare you accuse me of lying or trying to dump kittens.

Visited to say hi to the cats and found them to be very friendly, some shy but nice. Enjoyed their company and staff were friendly.

What's going on here. Not sure if it's the council or the shelter staff but getting an animal trap is farcical. After 6 weeks finally got one after a further phone call but after returning it, got 3 further calls about coming to collect the trap. When we said we had already had 2 traps and returned them, no record could be found. Someone needs to look at their processes and procedures.

No kill policy makes it great. Not keeping an animals name thats been surrendered, just makes it less comfortable and more confusing for the animal. It had a name. Let the new owners decide if they want to change it. I surrendered ducks that spent ages learning their names to see theyd been renamed. It would confuse them. Much nicer to be recognised and to recognise your name.Animal control officers are very lax. Very very lax to some.

We are adopting 2 cats from them this weekend. The staff were amazing from letting us get to know them to accommodating our time frames. Would highly recommend that you look to rehoming an animal if you can. Our boys are from a family member who unfortunately had passed. ♡♡♡
