Floor staff very friendly and helpful. Manager Kym however needs some serious lessons in good customer service. Very rude, phoned me after I returned a jacket when the zip disentigrated after 7 weeks of light use. Blamed my user error for it breaking but said she would replace out of good will" but wouldn't if happened again. Alternatively suggested I could purchase a more expensive jacket. Safe to say I just went and got a refund and went and purchased a better quality/priced jacket from a competitor with better service."

Extremely nice and helpful staff! Went there today and one of their staff members were able to find me a jacket they didn't think they any left of and then taught me how to properly wash it and maintain it.

Not a particularly large store, but has all the essentials and Macpac’s own products tend to be solid.Took a star off as during my most recent visit I enquired about whether I was able to get a product price-matched to a nearby competitor. It was an identical product, but that never even came up as I was immediately given a “we don’t price match”. This seems to go against the ‘Price Match Guarantee’ on the Macpac website. Unsure whether it was a newer staff member or an outdated policy on the website, but either way I would’ve liked a slightly more friendly response, and if it is a policy it’s perhaps worth reminding all staff members of that.

Online says it closes at 6pm, arrived at 5:40pm and was told it was shut, all I needed was some gloves for going camping tomorrow! If it had said online that it shut at 5:30pm I would of gotten there earlier!

I cannot recommend the customer service at this store highly enough. We were served by Matthew, who was just so polite, patient, knowledgeable and helpful. We had everything we were needing for our kids in no time at all. Definitely it was a great shopping experience.

The customer service in the Hobart store is outstanding. I had a slight problem with the collar of an entry level down jacket and the manager gave the same level of service as If I had bought a high-end Arc’teryx jacket. Highly recommended

Friendly staff members who offered to help and acknowledged my presence. They seem to always be having a sale so you can snap up some pretty good quality (not my favourite) gear at an okay price.
