TONIGHT IT WON'T BE AS STARRY...ALL THE STARS I'M GIVING TO CHRIS BROOKS!!!I've been a guitarist for 20 years and I've got plenty of experience and a sound knowledge of music in general. I wanted to hone my improvisational skills and was ready for the next step. Chris was suggested to me as a great tutor by another GREAT player in Australia. I'm glad I took his advice.I was familiar with Chris Brooks' music since 2005 and regarded him as one of the best guitarists breaking into the guitar scene. So I was a bit scared at first. As soon as he opened the door, he broke the ice and welcomed me to the room and for 2 hours I had my first ever lesson with someone I REALLY respected as a musician.Yeah, Chris Brooks has scary chops, great musicality and fantastic tone and phrasing. But I can tell you he's been honing his teaching skills to an equally amazing edge, being able to pinpoint stuff about my style and playing in seconds, and even tell me some stuff about myself that I didn't know of! Not only he gave me hints on how to expand on what I had before, he even gave me new insights to work on...and all based on what he saw in my playing!I can say that I walked away with new ideas some homework, and that I have been going for more, as I always say to Chris, there's always something to learn from a musician and guitarist of your calibre. In a few lines, taking lessons from Mr. Brooks is a MUST for any guitarist that respects his own career and that wants to take his/her skills to a new level.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
