The Quilpie Brick Hotel
I popped in for a meal on a Monday night while travelling the Outback. The Quilpie Brick Hotel has been renovated in a delightful way ... full of country charm while retaining its original purpose, character and style. The owners invited me to the upstairs veranda to enjoy the stunning sunset and my meal was delicious. The service was excellent while the owners exuded warmth and friendliness.

Me and my friends stayed at the Brick for the Quilpie race weekend. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, and kept to such a high standard. One of my friends accidentally broke a shower head, and it was fixed by the time we returned to the hotel. Both Wayne and Brenda were lovely, and it was an awesome weekend. Couldn’t recommend their hotel or bar any more highly…a must do if you’re staying in Quilpie!! Thank you again from Charleville!

We love the old outback pubs and the Heritage Inn was no exception! This a stunning old pub which has been restored beautifully and has a range of great rooms for meals including the very family friendly beer garden. We had dinner and lunch here during our stay in town and can say that the meals were not only delicious but the proportion sizes are very generous. As well as eating here - we also took one of the fossicking kits out and also had one of their picnic hampers for the sunset at Baldy Top Lookout - this was amazing! The hamper is great for travellers as it includes things you probably don't have on hand such as glasses, picnic rugs and even a torch! Plus the food is amazing! We didn't actually stay here - but I did ask to check out the accommodation for future reference. The rooms are lovely and I'd particularly like to stay here in the future to make use of the lovely big verandah which looks ideal for a glass of wine while watching the sunset!

We had wonderful, friendly service from the moment we walked in.We asked if they did Gluten Free meals for a Coeliac. The response was just great, saying they could change a few ingredients and help us out. We had the yummiest chips and pulled pork nachos with whatever we wanted on top. Cheese, avocado, sour cream and tomato with some spring onion. It was so delicious! Lovely quiet music in the background, a yummy glass of Shiraz and comfortable chairs. Service and food was 10/10. Thankyou! We will be back.

What a great place to stay. Great hosts and good food. Very comfy rooms for an old style pub and the sunset views from the balcony are awesome

Beautifully set up heritage rooms in a lovely old pub. Sadly, no meals or bar service, so lacked atmosphere and without breakfast, a little expensive for a room only rate.

A great restored older Hotel with clean rooms ,facilities, nice deck to sit and watch the sun set and has breakfast included. Did book a double room, but was told on arrival only singles were left. Very disappointing. Annette was kind enough to show me those rooms first and I settled for one yet will in future insist on email confirmation of accommodation bookings rather than placing trust in phone conversation.

We are travelling out west to support the small communities but I am very sad to say the service we got at this place was the worst I have ever experienced. The meals were cooked out of order meaning we were last to be served even though we ordered before some other tables of people had even arrived. After almost an hour and a half we asked to just be refunded so we could take the kids to bed (they didn't tell us there would be a massive delay with food until at least 30 mins after we ordered). We were told out meals would be out very soon so we stayed and they took another 10 mins, when they came out we were missing a meal. We aren't unreasonable people but we had 3 small children with us and they couldn't even get the kids meals (which were just deep fried chips and fish) out in a reasonable time (they came out at the same time as all the other meals). When we spoke to the staff about everything they genuinely did not care, laughed at us and did not attempt to resolve the situation at all. When we were packing up to leave they made a last minute half arsed attempt to offer us some drinks but they could see we had kids falling asleep at the table so of course we couldn't accept this (it was around 9pm by this stage). All in all a very disappointing experience and I hope they can learn from it.
