Only About Children Brunswick West

I'm very happy with the quality of care that our son receives in the Bulbs room, we're both incredibly grateful for the staff and appreciate all their hard work. I feel confident leaving our son in the care of the educators and their kindness has definitely made the transition of returning to work and starting childcare less stressful.The nursery staff are great with communication and adhering to each individual child's routines. Nappy changes occur 2 hourly and the children are provided with a great variety of nutritious food. Our son loves the activities and always has fun. Thank you to the staff in the Bulbs (and seedings) rooms and the management team for all of your help!

We were very uncertain as parents as to where to send our big lug, but the staff at OAC have been great throughout his transition to day care. We love the daily photos, its on of the highlights of our team seeing what he's been up to and the app is a big deal in our house, allowing us to know how hes slept and what he's eaten so we can plan for an easier night. Thanks to all those in the Bulbs group, we appreciate the care you take with our son.

My now 18 month old daughter has been here for 7 months now, and is happily thriving here… there are amazing caring educators- who are really thoughtful especially if she’s having an icky day teething or after her jabs! I know they’ll always do their best to get food into her, get her some sleep in between the fun dancing and play.She’s always all smiles as we enter the building which speaks volumes. Also big shoutout to Brooke and Gabby who have been super helpful around scheduling changes I’ve needed to make on days for my work.It’s really great dropping her off with zero mum guilts knowing she’s so happy here. That’s no small thing!

Our daughter has been attending OAC Brunswick West for the past 2.5 years across three rooms, and have seen her flourish over this period. The Centre and educators in each room really get to know each child as an individual and encourage curiosity and learning through a range of activities. I especially love the gardening program - this was a real draw card for me. As a whole, the OAC Brunswick team are absolutely lovely and I enjoy our (brief) chats each morning on drop-off, but more importantly our daughter looks forward to her days at the Centre.

We were one of the first families at the centre when they opened and have watched it decline steadily in quality for 4 years. We are one of the many families that have pulled our children out lately and I leave this review regretfully. This centre has an absolutely insane staff turnover due to their poor treatment of staff (like 4 room leaders in a few months, whole new room teams within months). Their major priority is profit (the chain owner has a super yacht but there are barely any books in the rooms). They are inflexible, poorly managed and at all times will have the minimum staff in each room to save $ regardless of what’s going on with the kids/room at the time. The centre has remained at ‘working towards’ minimum government standards for more than 4 years and is yet to meet them while still being the most expensive & least flexible centre in the area.There have been poorly managed safety concerns, including contagious sicknesses un-communicated, kids who’ve hit their heads and their parents haven’t been told & even kids getting their hands on scissors and cutting other kids hair without being noticed (and that’s just this year).Recently staff have been told not to provide learning programs or opportunities for children in the elder rooms unless they’re enrolled in government funded kinder - ie - this is not an ‘early learning centre’ this is just child minding.I cannot recommend highly enough that you find somewhere else.

We love OAC brunswick west. All the staff are lovely and our child has settled in so well, he genuinely enjoys attending each day. The food always looks delicious too, and it’s great how often storypark is updated with routines and especially the daily photos.

My 2.5yr old son has been at OAC Brunswick West for just over a year now and we've been thrilled with the staff and centre as a whole. The kids are well cared for with heaps of fun activities on throughout the day and big outdoor areas. We've had to book in for a few casual days recently and almost always found a spot at the last minute. Can't recommend this place enough.

We were really disappointed with our 6 months at Brunswick West ELC. My son was there for 6 months and he was onto his 4th room leader and had lost the rest of his room carers too. Management appears to put profits and appearances before doing what's best for the kids.Other than the great carers who kept leaving, the only good thing about this centre was the food, it was really well prepared and a great variety.

Unfortunately this centre changed hands, bought by a business that cuts corners and clearly puts no time or effort into their staff, programs or resources. Their turnover was rapid, anyone decent soon grew frustrated and left. It didn't feel good dropping the kids off here, seemed like there was a new staff member in the room every week.
