So grateful for the fantastic work done by Bill, Blake, Al and Gary while packing and uploading all our belongings up and down the 33 stairs from our unit. They were professional, calm, so careful with our 'stuff' and kind. Their communication was outstanding and their manner, from day one, was so reassuring as we had some anxieties about the move. We have recently retired and this has been such a big decision for us that we were grateful for the way they conducted themselves in both the way they handled our belongings and interacted with us. Would highly recommend and wish the same team were in Perth to finish off our move to our new home..... No stairs this time!!

Very bad customer service experience trying to get a quote for a Sydney to USA move. The person I delt with was extremely rude and did not care about servicing me (even implied they do not need my business), didn't get back to me with a quote when promised, did not respond to my follow-ups, kept blaming other departments, and took over a week (although I told them this was an ASAP need) to tell me they couldn't accomdate the move based on volumn (although from the very first contact two weeks before, I provided a detailed list of what the item volumn was). They also got the destination address wrong in what they were basing their quote off of, but after such poor service, I didn't bother asking them to correct it and def did want to take the risk of hiring them to move my things across the world.HI AGAIN CHESS - you responded to my review, unfortunatly I can't respond to YOUR respond to your response on Google. We had a great experience with our international move with Chess. Cameron was super helpful, accommodating and always happy to answer our many questions! The packing and moving team worked lightning fast and packed so well that all our goods arrived safely in the UK. Our move involved storage in both Sydney and the UK and Chess made the process seamless. Thanks team!

Terrible Company to Deal with, Initially they are great until they have packed and taken off with your product!! Collected goods on 7th September 2022 in Australia & still haven't received them in NZ as at 12 January 2023. They don't respond to phone calls or call back when messages are left. If you get the chance use another company!!!

Chess Moving did a great job relocating my personal items overseas. My furniture arrived in good order - the team dispatching my goods were responsive and helpful. I needed to add an special painting at the last minute which they collected, perfectly wrapped - in its own crate, and delivered it without a mark. So grateful for their service! Made life easy and stress free!

Chess removals were professional and great to work with. They came up with the lowest quote from 3, but arrived in time, packed with such care it was incredible and our things arrived in one piece from Sydney to Washington DC in a short 6 weeks with no delays.

We had super service from Chess Moving. Our container arrived from South Africa and we were kept up to date with clear comms all the way. The delivery guys were friendly, professional and fast. Really happy with the service! Fantastic job team, keep it up!!

Naming names is always helpful. Keith, Tony Joe you guys are brilliant! From the outset the Chess team were responsive, professional, caring and clearly honest. Their process is slick and the pricing competitive. When it came to the moving day, two more hard working, efficient, fast, fun, polite, happy and professional guys you couldn't find. Can't recommend them highly enough for a smooth international move. Many thanks for relieving stress from what was a very stressful time.

Terrible experience and incredibly dishonest company. The two staff who came to pack our stuff and load the shipping container was where the professionalism ended, which is a shame because those two alone were great, but once they have your stuff, it is all downhill from there.We were given a 12 week timeframe to ship our belongings to UK, from day of packing to final delivery, which was supposed to account for “covid delays” however, it was closer to 6 months until our things were finally delivered; and the shipment was delayed by so much, it was also stuck at port and we were slapped with additional “port congestion” fees, which is in the fine print but was never explicitly explained to us properly in person; we were only made aware of the extra fees after the fact when we received a bill for it without prior explanation, nothing was relayed to us at any point, especially when they knew the charge would be incurred earlier and they could’ve given us more notice; if it isn’t paid, they hold your items hostage while charging additional storage fees.Furniture arrived with damage and they lost a couple of irreplaceable artworks; both ends of the company failed to own to up to it, we have no evidence they even tried to look for them and it has been a hassle getting clear communication from them since, while they kept insinuating we just hadn’t unpacked them yet, but there were only two boxes that could’ve been that size/shape and not something you easily miss, especially when our flat isn’t huge - the artworks simply never showed up.The movers who delivered our shipment came later in the day than expected and as a result just left early before the job was done, as it was getting dark and therefore too late for them; we were told that as part of the service, the unpackers would take all the packaging with them, but they did not.Furthermore, we paid an exorbitant amount for “insurance” from them, if you can even call it that, and when we tried to put in a claim for the missing items, unexpected costs incurred from delays and property damaged, they denied putting one through as they had “internally investigated themselves” and found no issue. Just seemed unethical to offer such a product internally and a complete scam when they can just deny any claim Willy nilly. We absolutely in no way received a service that remotely resembled what we paid for, and if we could give less stars, we would. Not a company we would ever recommend.
