Chalk Hill Wines

Went for a wine tasting experience and loved every minute of it. We could choose 5 wines from their complete range and these were paired with Bracegirdle chocolates...also had cheese, crackers and nuts to snack on. We had the tasting notes of our selections explained, very informative. Even though technical 5 wines were included they were fine with us tasting a couple more.Also included was a Pinsa (hand stretched pizza) and another glass of wine each from the Chalk Hill range.The setting is spectacular! Wide open grass area as well as the long covered verandah. Well set up for any season. Great for families as the kids can run free.Now that we know how good this is we will be back.

Wow! What a fantastic experience. Great wines and an amazing view. Stopped on the off chance of a tasting experience late in the day and the team couldn’t have been more welcoming. Chris was a great ambassador and hosted our experience superbly. The venue and views take some beating. Thoroughly enjoyed it and a new UK advocate of Chalk Hill wines

Had a wonderful time at Chalk Hill winery - what a beautiful restaurant space and the view is to die for . Chris , our English waiter and cellar door extraordinaire was so friendly and informative. Only criticism is the value for money with the food. It is contracted out, and the serves are extremely small, i.e. the meatballs, and they are served up in cardboard boxes with wooden spoons, knives and forks, which is not up to standard for the ambience of the cellar door and the venue.

WOW what a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and family. Fabulous service, wines and food. The pizza was fantastic.We had Chris taking us through a wine tasting and he was very good, knowledgeable, and courteous.The winery had live music, wine and gin tasting bars and fabulous views. Highly recommended.

Arrived at 2pm today (29/5/23), so we thought a nice wine tasting with a casual lunch sounded like a great idea as was recommended to us by others.Unfortunately when we arrived the young lady behind the bar advised we don't do tastings with food" what the actual f.... is going on with that. Is that responsible serving?Suffice to say we didn't stay for a taste and will gladly spend the time elsewhere. Not a great advertisement for the industry!"

First time attending Chalk Hill Wines. Arrived for an Ultimate wine tasting and was amazed at the variety of taste and blends presented. Matched with nuts and chocolate and cheese.Had a great time. Our Host presented the wines with a great knowledge of the individual wines and what nibbles to have with it was fantastic.Not only wines but a distillery for Gin etc.But wait there are pinsas as well among some very delicious deserts.A must see to believe place.Did I mention the beautiful Hills and Valley outlook.Well worth a visit. You’ll definitely go back again.

Very nice outdoor area, they are known for their pizza and they live up to it. I suggest booking because they almost couldn’t accommodate us. Security was a bit mean because our 9 year old was throwing a ball around. Overall picture perfect views. Recommended.

Brilliant cellar door. Best of both worlds being able to sample both Chalk Hill and Never Never distillery. Fantastic wines with attentive staff and some outstanding pizza from Cucina Di Strada. We had the margarita and gamberro (with some bril chilli oil). Choc gelato for the kids was amazing too.Plenty of space for the kids to run around (big lawn) and high chair was there. Defn make it a stop

I LOVE this place. I’ve been so many times and each time it exceeds my expectations. The Chalk Hill wines are absolutely beautiful. I did their tasting and left with so many bottles. Had a lovely lunch from their Cucina on site and a few gins from next door. An overall amazing day and classic place to go when visiting Mclaren Vale. Their staff are very accomodating and super prompt with customer service. Thank you!!!
