Ashburton Cycles and Electric Bike

I’m a pretty critical reviewer and don’t review often but these guys hit nail on the head.Came in for a service on my norco vlt plus a dropper post cable rim fixed new tyre could not be happier with the price and the result gear work bike came back cleaner and Better than from previous bike shops!Very happy with the result.Thanks guys!

The team at Ashburton Cycles provided a fantastic general service on my Canondale MTB. The click and collect service model they are operating at the moment was smooth and simple. I was kept informed of any issues that came up, and the team gave clear reasoning for certain fixes. I'll definitely return for the next one.

The guys at Ashburton cycles were amazing with my specific requests in a custom bike build. Extremely knowledgeable, excellent communicators , great to talk to in store, and very thorough.Certainly trust them to service and look after any of my bike needs going forward.

Couldn't rate the service here more highly - the guys made a number of adjustments to my new bike so that it's now a comfortable, enjoyable ride. Quick turnaround time, super helpful and open to testing and trying things out. Couldn't be happier!

I’ve been a customer of Ashy cycles for around 3 years now. Always serviced my bikes to the highest quality and provide me with great advice on upgrades and what would be most appropriate for me. In addition to this they will go above and beyond for customer service with Jack even coming with me to inspect a second-hand bike I was buying. Always have a great time visiting ashy cycles and can get talking bikes with the boys for hours! My wife hates it when I’m getting my bike serviced!

Rear tyre was installed in opposite direction which should pick up easily2. After fork upgrade, the front brake adapter does not fit (original fork is 160mm rotor and new one is 180mm) which they bodget it and installed it upside down .Which I suspect it caused the brake calliper (MT-520) pre-mature failed and uneven pad wear (as photo)3. Front brake calliper failed and got a downgraded replacement (MT-420) for warranty, which I understood the part shortage but was not communicated clearly nor any option was offered until I notice the front and back got different calliper

For someone inexperienced with bikes this place is not very helpful, Taking my bike in there after 3 or so jobs I was treated like someone who was dumb with bikes and explained how to pump up a tyre . In which case the tyre was popped. I feel like better communication service needs to be taken around this.

I had treated my Giant Defy roadie very poorly for the last couple of years - left outside in the weather the saddle was stuffed, the brakes and chain/gearset knackered, and plenty of other things besides. The team at Ashburton Cycles did an outstanding job of fixing it up at a reasonable price and it’s riding like new again. Highly recommended.
