Mid Coast Funerals & Cremation Service

Very disappointed with the office post cremation. Saying goodbye to a loved one is one of the most stressful and heart breaking situations people encounter and the lack of communication and compassion by the staff at mid coast funerals made it even more difficult. We issued a formal complaint with their office and never received a response. I would not recommend using their services.

Very poor service during our time of grieving.From the people they sent (owner included) who couldn’t carry my father out to thier van (bad backs), my brother and I did that. To not advertising the funeral notice on day they were instructed to. To cracking inappropriate jokes at the service. And absolutely no follow up care or information afterwards. They seemed happy to take our money witn absolutely no interest in providing a service that should be expected during these times. A very disappointing experience all round. Please, for your peace of mind, look elsewhere.

On behalf of my family I would like to say a massive thank you to all the team at Mid Coast Funerals in particular Karen who guided my sister, brother and I and helped us in every way possible to give Dad the sendoff he deserved. I know Dad would be extremely proud of the funeral he was given and it really was so fitting to his character. We have literally had several people who attended the funeral come up to us kids and say We want to have exactly the same send off as George". Everything was absolutely perfect and Karen even handpicked the celebrant she thought would be most suited to Dad. Ged Oldfield was amazing he even wore his best cowboy outfit for Dad (Dad would have known he was a townie but). Ged had said to us kids he wanted people to feel like they had a connection with Dad and to walk away really feeling like they knew him and he aced it! I've literally had to hand out Ged's phone number to people who attended wanting to snap him up for their service! We couldn't have been happier in a time that we couldnt have been sadder! Thank you to all the staff for the amazing service, care and love shown with the loss of my Grandmother, Mother and Father. The love, support and care have been exceptional. Locals caring for locals is the best slogan and it really shows. Thanks to the whole team, with heartfelt thanks from all my family.

We dealt with Sharon through the Wauchope office and she was outstanding in every respect. She offered us various services and explained what each one and was never pushy or rushed. She was patient with my grieving father and helped him through it.This was a difficult time for everyone and I had no experience in organising a funeral. Sharon's help and guidance was invaluable and the whole team on the day were organised and efficient. They worked together to accommodate every one's wishes. The cost to service ratio was also excellent I can only suggest to anyone in need of a funeral to put your trust in Mid Coast Funerals as it will not be misguided.

Sharon and Michael were absoluely wonderful to me and my daughter when my husband passed away on 30/4/21. We did not have a conventional funeral and nothing we asked of them was too much trouble. They worked tirelessly to ensure that everything went as smoothly as possible on the day of the funeral and were there for us with any extra information we required. They even added some special personal touches without us needing to ask. This is one of the worst times in a person's life and it certainly helps to have care, patience and understanding when everything around you seems to be falling apart. Sharon and Michael were both extremely compassionate and professional in their approach and I would have no hesitation in recommending their service to anyone in need.
