Gelato Messina Windsor

No doubt the best gelato!The passion fruit is my favourite ( which might be too sour to other’s taste!) super fresh and the perfect balance of sour sweet.But the quality of cake is not as good as the gelato!We have ordered the boysenberry cheesecake for birthday however it is way too sweet and we have followed the instructions of keeping it in freezer then put in chill for 15-30 minutes before eating , the texture is quite hard, and the biscuits layer is quite salty. Probably will not order cake again from it considering it is also pricy ($72)

I personally think that Gelato Messina is one of the Ice Cream shops in Melbourne and probably Australia. The Dulce De Leche is a true remark on the ice cream and is really the top of the top. The staff inside are very nice and friendly and the ice cream is fresh and proper. If you are at in Windsor and had the choice to choose between Messina or Pidapipó, Messina is the nicer and better option as they are nicer staff, better flavours and overall the ice creams are just better.

This weeks specials were insane! I typically try one special and do one scoop of my standard fave but today I deviated to two specials and could not have been more satisfiedOriginal reviewNot sure how I haven’t reviewed this place before as I have been here on countless occasions but in any case we had a cake from here today at a birthday which was utterly divine. I’ve had this particular cake in the single serve before at a pop up event and I have to say it’s more enjoyable in the smaller size as you taste all of the elements whereas in a cake you may get a slice of only some components.The section I got included a lot of the dark chocolate gelato which is quite decadent and a little bitter for my palette. I definitely prefer the sweeter peanut butter layers but a very impressive party trick nonetheless

Say no more…. The best ice-cream ever plenty of flavours to select! Get down here before the peak as it gets super busy.

Gelato Messina is a Melbourne Gelato institution. Rich, creamy, and with a lot of inclusions" that make for a more interesting texture."

They really thickened sweet ice cream, I had coffee flavour but I am not the person who like coffee with chocolates. Some other jelato shops have coffee bean inside jelato. I will try for next time

Love this gelato! Just as good as the other Messina stores in Melbourne. The staff are super friendly, polite and conversational which helps make you feel welcome and comfortable. The portions are super generous (arguably more generous than other stores) and the gelato is just as good. I tried the pistachio sorbet special here (Taking the Pistachio) and it was absolutely heavenly, probably the best pistachio sorbet/gelato I have ever had. I recommend trying the following flavours: pistachio praline, white chocolate hazelnut, tiramisu, super dulce de leche and milk chocolate with peanut fudge or any of their amazing specials!
