The *final* piece to go into our new home was a wall unit in our main living area, that would function as a craft area as well. My husband builds model ships, and I sew/knit. We like to work on projects while chatting to each other, or with the TV on, but I also wanted to be able to 'hide' everything when not in use, and all this with limited space. Philippe's design was brilliant, and we're ever so pleased with the final result. We have now been in our new home for 6 months, and the 'craft wall' is put to use just about every day. I would recommend Ecocabinets to anyone wanting great design and excellent installation.

We contacted Philippe Signer of ecocabinets after reading the positive reviews about his work online and looking through his portfolio. We could see that Philippe’s approach was different from other companies: his designs are tailored to the client—no two look alike, and they are environmentally conscious.We got three quotes for our new kitchen, but Philippe’s was the only one that was itemised in any detail so we could see what the different parts of the job might cost, and the higher or lower budget options open to us. His builder also visited our home to quote on demolition and building costs only days after we first met Philippe, at a time when tradesmen were so busy that one other company couldn’t even get someone to quote at all on that essential part of the job. This really gave us confidence in Philippe’s ability to get the job done and that his quote was realistic and good value for money.From our first meeting, we felt instantly comfortable working with Philippe and were impressed throughout the process with his enthusiasm, amazing responsiveness and great design advice. Our kitchen project went from being a vague idea about style and getting a more efficient kitchen to a real collaboration, in which Philippe patiently worked through every small and large design matter or change with us (and there were many) until we had arrived at a design that was both beautiful and highly practical. It felt like a real team effort, where Philippe took on board our ideas, combining them with his, and bringing it all to life at a high standard. People’s jaws literally drop when they see our new kitchen and the first thing they notice are Philippe’s unique design features.Philippe’s excellent tradesmen managed to get our kitchen done in a tight timeframe at the busiest time of the year, and the respect they have for him was clear to us. The craftsmanship of the cabinetry and care taken by the cabinet-makers is top-shelf. Every building project has things that are unexpected, but Philippe addressed anything that arose quickly and his team worked together well. This really helped to keep things on track and on time. We’ve been through two previous building projects (with other companies) and this was by far the best experience, with a great end result that we absolutely love.Thanks to Philippe, we got a unique kitchen that is exactly what we wanted. We are looking forward to the day we can plan our next renovation project with Philippe and there is no doubt that we would recommend him and ecocabinets to anyone.

I discovered ecocabinets through an internet search for a designer to do a kitchen and bathroom renovation for our small 1960's studio apartment. Philippe was immediately enthusiastic about the project and accommodating to our fixed schedule. Within a week I had two 3-D colour computer sketches to choose from. Philippe took on board my design ideas but made them infinitely better. He always listened to what I said but told me directly if he thought it is not the best idea - and he is right! I am very happy with the final renovation. The apartment is now more spacious and functional, reflects my original design intent and is respectful of the original 1960's design. It was a very pleasant experience to work with ecocabinets.

Philippe was a joy to work with, right from the first meeting where he listened to my ideas unlike other people I got quotes from. He really does listen and incorporate your ideas into the design. He also politely suggests better design solutions whilst acknowledging that we are the client so if we want something specific he will deliver it. The kitchen is fabulous and I wish I had another kitchen to do right now! He was excellent in keeping costs down when our personal situation changed during the build. I can't recommend him highly enough. Lovely guy too.

Outstanding ! We started with a 1970-built kitchen the size of a broom cabinet and ended up with a fully functional kitchen. Philippe has been looking after us from A to Z on this project. The design is superb, all parties involved (plumbing, electricity, plastering, cabinetry) worked seemlessly until the end.
