Great location, super cool aesthetic, and an incredibly helpful staff who went about and beyond in sorting out a ticketing issue I had. Definitely hope to catch another gig here if I'm in Newcastle again.

The floor and lower walls were sticky. It felt dirty. Looked dirty. Went there for a gig and even the band publicly said the same thing.

Sound is always just off. Great sound guy by all means, but something needs work. Acoustic treatment probably. Extra bar staff and better security between the gigs and the rest of the pub would be helpful.

As the name suggests, it's a small room probably less than 10x15m in size, which means a pretty intimate setting. The downside is a reduction in sound quality as the whole room gets blasted with a wall of competing frequencies, i.e. the sound quality is pretty sh*thouse.Air con struggles in the summer heat and could do with an upgrade. The place turns into a sweaty, humid sauna, which smells like old feet mixed with red bull when occupancy is maxed out.Plus side is the bar is real close to the floor which means the above points can be negotiated with the consumption of alcohol.3/5: would go again
