A couple of months ago, my little boy in year 3, Ethan, was having trouble with his homework and I jumped in to have a look at what he was doing. I observed him as he attempted it and I was concerned about his learning abilities. I spoke to his teacher that same week and I didn’t get much of a reply, all I got was “he’s doing good, he’s just getting used to the new topics.” It was like I was talking to a brick wall as I was asking all these questions about my little boy. After I recently received his report card, I was shocked to see that he was getting Ds in most of his classes and you could have imagined my confusion as I was told that my boy was “doing good” in his school work. I arranged a meeting with his teacher and the principal to discuss what we can all do to help my little boys education and I learnt from his principal that my boy had been struggling with his school work for a while now but no one thought to even call me and inform that he needed help. After the meeting, I really observed his habits, attitudes and work ethic to get an understanding of what he needs help with and how I could help him with his school work. I didn’t see any improvements with his work so I decided I needed extra help and called 1300 home tutor as I’ve seen and heard many of their advertisements. I spoke to Sophie and Helen and they were so helpful and kind. They explained all of their services and options I could explore and I decided to have one of their tutors come and see my family and I about how they could help my child. My first impression of the tutor was that they were dressed very nicely and they were professional but friendly. He was very polite and immediately started to get to know my boy by asking him questions about his hobbies, interests and what he thinks about school. He then asked if he had any difficulty focusing or learning disabilities in order to get an understanding of what Ethan was struggling with and I told him he gets distracted easily by loud noises, he is sensitive to certain textures and he also can seem to multitask very well. He told me he had tutored many children with ADHD and ADD and explained the difference between them, the characteristics and also how you can get tested for it. After Ethan was diagnosed with ADD, the doctors recommended me putting Ethan on medication and I wasn’t at all comfortable with my little boy being on medication. So I called the tutor and I found this very helpful as he explained to me 1300 home tutor can provide a strategy for his special learning abilities so his concentration levels will be the best when his tutoring sessions were due. I’m finding that he is more attentive and he seems such happier with his own progress. I know this seems a bit long but I just want to let other parents know that you don’t have to take one teacher or one doctors opinion. My advice would be to consult several people that know about learning disabilities if I just listened to one person as they said Ethan was never going to able to learn main stream curriculum and stay up with the class and I found that as a very negative and disencourgaing statement. As a parent I’m a lot happier understanding what my little boy is going through and knowing that he can learn like other kids and he can have a future. Once again, thanks a lot to the 1300 home tutor team for letting me know that there are other alternatives other than medication and I am more than happy to reccommend them to other families.

Last semester we received a devastating report card for our daughter in Yr3. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see how much she was struggling & the school hadn’t notified us of how behind she had gotten.We researched tutors & found 1300Hometutor. Our son has been struggling with the leap to high school and we have found 1300 home tutor provides a unique opportunity for him with an amazing well experienced teacher who visits frequently and is always available by phone or email to check over assignments before they are handed in, or just to explain something he is working on in a way that he can more clearly comprehend. I highly recommend the personable tutoring this company provides, you have a personable relationship with the teachers and my son looks forward to showing off his report cards now!

A HUGE APPRECIATION for 1300HomeTutor. My daughter received DUX awards all thanks to this program! I highly recommend HT for your children's tuition support. I am a single mother of 2 daughters, I have used their home tutoring programs for years. My daughters were struggling with English and Mathematics and since using the programs their report cards now consist of A's not C's and D's. Given I work full time and study at University myself I struggle to have enough time to assist them with their homework and assignments, the online tutoring and in-home teacher visits have changed our lives. An extremely disappointing outcome from this company. The first tutor cancelled half of our appointments and was not good at her job. The tutor that replaced her was lovely and reliable. Then Covid happened and all tutoring was cancelled due to financial difficulties. How did this happen when we paid you 2 years of tutoring upfront ? Now, I've just received an email to say you've gone under and into receivership. All your clients paid you thousands of dollars up front ? What the hell ! Now we're way out of pocket and a child still struggling as much as she did 12 months ago.

We have been using 1300 home tutor for two and a half years now, and it has helped our children enormously in both confidence and results at school. They both have enjoyed the one to one personal coaching that they have recieved and have really been motivated by the awards system, that rewards theIr progress along the way. It has been a relief for us as parents, to know that assistance is always available by phone, if either children are having trouble understanding a topic at school or in their homework.I have to praise all the staff of 1300 home tutor, they really care and enjoy seeing the kids confidence grow with all their achievements. Our two children really enjoyed the computer based learning program, as well as the fun worksheets. They would always feel so proud of themselves after passing each level and when recieving that special award through the mail.

The experience of Amanda Patterson is exactly the same as that of my daughter and grandson who live in another state. Same responses, same debt, same lack of results, same feeling of being absolutely ripped off after being promised the world and guaranteed results. I work as a tutor for a reputable company and this is not how they run. I also tutor privately. Shop around until you find someone who suits you and your child and do not enter into any contracts, especially if they are not on a term to term basis. When parents/carers are desperate, they fall for all the promises, but end up with little except an astronomical debt. I had to give One star to be able to post a review.

absolutely appalled by the service. Got sucked into their special scholarships" but in reality even with that it was still a rip off. Over 10000 dollars later and hardly no results (for that amount id expect way more). Tutors changed more then the weather and my girls had no consistency. They fob you off to a finance company then tell you it's not their problem and no way to stop the service as the finance company's paid them so you have to deal with them instead. Felt let down and ripped off. I work hard and pay out my teeth for a substandard service."

We have been so blessed to have Stephen our tutor! He has so much patience and time for my 12 who has been struggling with his learning. He has really made learning fun for my son.
