The Capricorn Hotel Motor Inn

OMG !! Excellent service by young man behind the bar and doubling as check-in operator. Booking messed up. Large room. Reasonably clean but nowhere near spotless. Minuscule TV. Ineffective aircon - oppressively so. Lots more ...Not impressed. Very 1960s. You get what you pay for. Suggest pay bit extra elsewhere.

Good feed, friendly pub atmosphere

Rooms are not perfect but comfortable with clean comfortable beds. Aircons old box units that make some noise but nothing extra. Meals are cheap and taste great but the person taking my order rolled their eyes at me and had some attitude when I asked about the sauces the came with my meal.Over all not a bad place to stay with a reasonable prices and great meals, just needs some staff training.

This has to be a bad (and expensive) joke. Ordered a half dozen Oysters Kilpatrick tonight. What turned up was half a dozen Oysters Patrick (absolutely no bacon and the sauce tasted horrible).Rang to ask where the bacon was at and the girls apologised and said they'd send a fresh batch... Jokes on me, I thought they'd actually make an effort the 2nd time... 3 of the 6 the second time did get a couple of strip's of bacon I spose!VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

This is why I'm only giving it 3 stars Arriving at the restaurant I walked in and stood there, a waitress didn't ask me if I had a reservation or she could help me in fact she asked the couple behind me if I had reservations they said no and she promptly seats them when she returned to she did not ask me, if she could help me.when I got to the cash register I stated that I had reservations for myself and my parents I will probably told it was table number 3 comma while sitting down to the table which I had booked earlier in the day for three people there was only a table setting for two I then had to ask for an extra set of knives and forks. The table was sticky, I then asked the waitress about the Mother's Day specials that they had advertised I was told they only had beef and veggies left and of course the choice of apple pie or pavlova it was , it was a little surprising that we had got there at 6:30 p.m. and I may had already run out of pork. The meals were good we enjoyed them I felt the my rack of lamb was a little on the small side quite a large serving of mash potato with a couple of broccoli florets and we'll I thought were to be to rather small pieces of lamb rack. This is why I'm only giving it 3 stars

We went to the restaurant for dinner for my boyfriend's birthday on a Saturday night. The room was big and welcoming and the staff were friendly. We ordered a Porterhouse Steak (Medium Well) and a crumbed steak. Both were bought our fairly quickly and were amazing. The porterhouse was so tender, it could be cut with a butter knife. The crumbed steak was fresh, not oily and so tender. The salad that come with it was really tasty and Dianne sauce was on point. Ive had gastric sleeve so only ate 1/3 of the meal. Nothing else on the entree or kids menu appealed to me. Would definately visit again the next time I'm in Blackwater

Great tapas, lovely service by both restaurant and bar staff. The cocktails were delightful. A lovely surprise in blackwater.

Only went to the bar with some friends. Had a lovely night out.
