Hog's Breath Cafe Springfield
Hogs breath used to be a name synonymous with the notion of high quality tender steak. Tonight, armed with the memory of a better time, I ordered a Mega steak (extra size) with a Hickory glaze.Unfortunately, as opposed to having a “more of a good thing” steak experience, I was faced with the laborious task of finishing an extra large tasteless chunk of flesh. The ratio of fat to meat on this cut of meat was like something you would expect to see in a servo pie, and the ambient temperature of the internals was slightly warmer than your average Australian roadkill. The crunch to the broccoli was similar to indulging on a piece of freshly cut bamboo or a raw sweet potato. On a plus side, and supporting the addition of the second star of this review, the curly fries were a staple and tasteful item and the staff were bubbly and happy to help out!

Absolutley great! I had a ceaser salad and OMG. It was great, service was amazing, super friendly staff. Sharing some pics of dessert - kids banana split and sticky date pudding - will be back!

My wife and I have dined here numerous times without any dramas but we’re very disappointed with what we were served. My steak burger was served to me cold, my curly fries seem like they were fried a hour before being served. My wife’s steak was tough, chewy & was unevenly cooked throughout. Her mash potato had a somewhat plastic taste to it as if it was not prepared properly. At the end of it we copped a bill for $97. This was for 2 meals & 2 drinks. It is Highly unlikely that we will be returning & will be looking for somewhere else to dine who takes pride in what they do.

Went last week on a weekday lunch, it was quiet and not busy. Ordered a light cut prime steak with mushroom and a light cut prime steak with teriyaki sauce. Then I started to look at google reviews of this restaurant and those negatives feedback made me worried how bad will the food will be. As a result, the food taste delicious (as we were expected before reading the bad reviews).I wondered why the bad reviews?Nothing bad happened, the teriyaki sauce was not salty and everything we ordered is good. As per hog breath traditional, the staff greeted us and asked us if everything was ok.We have not been eaten hog breath for many years since the Indooroopilly branch closed down. Now the same good taste and feeling is back. We finished all our food. I hope they keep up the good cooking and customers service.Have not try dinner or on weekend, hopefully when they are busy, they won't turn bad.I less one star from the review was for the cost, it was quite expensive to have a lunch for almost $80 for two persons.

I'm a Hogs Breath fan from long ago and have been to this venue a few times in the past year however this restaurant continues to disappoint. The lack luster service to the average food makes this place a poor choice to spend money at. Speaking of which, we went for dinner a few nights ago, family of 4, and it cost us $170!! The food was average at best, the seafood not cooked and smelt funny. I know they dont control the menu or price but that much money for a family to have dinner is ridiculous.Go elsewhere to eat until this place hopefully improves.

I have visited this restaurant a number of times and every time I go I am not disappointed. The food is always fresh, the steak cooked to my liking (medium rare), it's clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad meal at Hogs Breath Springfield.

Always been a huge fan of Hog's Breath in Perth, so we decided to bring the family for my wife's birthday on 30th April. Sadly the service here left alot to be desired.Food was undeniably great. But the shift manager was just extremely unpleasant on the day. Thankfully our server was lovely (wish I could recall her name), but her shift ended mid-way through our meal and once again service declined.Never got the birthday Sundae that was offered to my wife, but the staff knew it hadn't been served and only offered it as a last ditch takeaway offer at the end which we declined. The moment was already lost and we purchased other deserts. The wait time for food was also extreeeemely long. So all in all, going to give Garden City Hogs Breath a try instead and hope the experience improves.

Had dinner at 8pm this evening with my partner. We enjoyed our entrees which were salt ‘n’ pepper squid, as well as cheese and bacon loaded waffle fries. Unfortunately we could not say the same for our mains. We both had a traditional prime rib cut and both asked for it to be cooked medium. On arrival, it was obvious that the kitchen was rushing our meals even though it was very quiet. The chefs failed to rest both of our steaks which resulted in a pool of blood on both our plates.. the steaks were medium rare on the outside and continued to be almost blue in the middle….also there was zero seasoning on the steaks, and the sides were just flavourless. Please don’t boast to be skilled with your steaks when your chefs can’t do something a simple as resting the steak before plating. Also seasoning goes along way.. it’s called salt and pepper… shouldn’t have to school the chefs on that one… not worth our $160.00 bill in total. Just not good enough for an establishment with a reputation for having tasty rib fillets.

Great food, service and atmosphere, however there's not as much of a range of food as there was a few years ago and the service was a little bit slow.
