Bowning Hotel
A great place for a quiet and delicious meal, just off the highway. Friendly staff, pleasant outdoor seating and a cosy dining room. The menu has a nice selection and the food is always excellent. The GF salt and pepper squid is a favourite of ours.

Good old pub grub that was tasty and very filling. It's that very old traditional pub feeling - warm and friendly.Being a pub that is over one hundred years old is it was not very accessible for those in wheelchairs.The doorways are very narrow and there's a significant step to get into the pub.

What an Australian gem off the beaten track! Highly recommend turning off the Hume for a meal here. Great food cooked with love. Great atmosphere you don’t find in many pubs anymore. Cash only at the bar!

Picturesque country pub, lovely heritage building, friendly staff and delicious fresh food. The Barra was huge and the vegetables fresh and tasty.

This pub is a gem! Stopped there on 28th December 2022 on a off chance stop over. Best food, had the most tender lamb cutlets, reasonable price, such friendly staff and locals and very comfortable no fuss affordable accommodation. Highly recommend and recommend to all to take the time to enjoy. Di and Mary - see you again!

Great hotel with plenty of outdoor seating. Great food plenty of areas to sit. Be aware cash only at the bar but tap and pay for food.

Hands down best burger and schnitzel I have eaten in a very long time. Excellent hospitality and good priced drinks. Atmosphere +++ Publican has done a great job restoring this gem.Would highly recommend. We will be back when we pass through next
