Really friendly and helpful staff when they are there. shame its basically inaccessible from Telarah, but as its not in Sydney nothing will happen.Ticketing machines have been removed from Telarah and almost every other hunter line station so topping up the useless opal card is difficult and buying a ticket without an Opal or credit card is impossible.

Quite a nice station, still got a good frequency but going beyond here west is very hard as there are almost no services.

The New South Wales Government needs to electrify the line between Telarah & Newcastle Interchange. Or won't it be electrified because it's Western Newcastle & not Western Sydney? How much cash is splashed on Western Sydney for metros & trams they don't need? Electrify the line & use the Hunter Railcars for more frequent services to Dungog, Scone & a new Cessnock service at a newly built Cessnock Station.

Needs an overbridge so people from Telarah on the other side of the line can walk to their own station.

Telarah Station
Used this station a few times. A small station at the end of the Maitland region. Has the new Opal wave and pay system. Toilets were locked when there (was the weekend). Close to main road and bus routes, no vending machines or kiosk. When I have used this station the train times were kept to a reasonable standard.
