In one sense the shopping experience during Covid is on the selfish side a positive experience. Though it depends when you choose to go. Generally I’ve been shopping every two days and clock in around 5:45pm. The store is busy, however the space to move and the room to move is easy as. Still I’m not sure if the cost of living is getting more expensive as I don’t keep tra k of prices, however I do feel that prices of all items collectively once at the checkout seems less to be more cash for less. Still that could be consumer rhetoric. Still my money does not appear to go as far as it did same time last year. Again as I shop, I now expressly look for deals and quick sales. I’ve had to cut down on impulsive buying. That takes will power because cash-muscle memory is a hard habit to break. How good would it be if Woolworths sold booze. Six pack prices are going through the roof and I’m thinking the booze industry run bottle shops must have a grip on alcohol selling. Even though there are liquor store attachments I am sceptical that this brings the price of booze down. It’s more of a cosmetic and exercise in optics getting shoppers to think that they couldn’t get a better price. I think if Woolworths sold booze the six pack of regular domestic beer could be as low as $12-$13, not the now $22+ prices we pay. Ever been to the USA or Europe where you can pick up a slab of beer for as little as $20+ (this for a case of beer!). Another gripe is when you go through self service and you buy plastic or wooden picnic knives you cannot proceed until the Woolworths representative has to bypass the register. Really it’s another overreach from that the nanny state has decade but decade taken so much of our decision making as adults and handed over to a bureaucratic system that has lost touch with reality of independent choice and thought. The same goes issue goes for buying Non-Alcoholic beer! Anyway pleasant shopping and plenty of no fuss Covid lockdown 2021 parking.

They have littered my street with trolleys and they never get picked up. Hopeless

3.6 - Four Years ago, it was great! I used to go after enjoying dinner at the Piazza. Today, it wasn't as great. Maybe it depends when you go - I thought I'd try to be one step ahead with my usual Weekly shop on a Friday arvo but a lot of the shelves for Bread were empty, they only had Beef and Lamb Meatballs, whereas Macquarie has Pork and Veal also. The Mutti Pasta sauce was lacking in range also. Was a bit disappointed. The staff, however, I find are much more available to help me than Coles and I like how there is generally more stock in this Woolies than at Macquarie Centre.

Terrible direct to boot. Utterly useless. No signage and the directions you get from Woolworths when you enter are entirely wrong. Store isn’t helpful either. Make you walk around.I get told it’s why they do direct to boot now….Why, to make people drive around a parking lot in the hopes of finding it…Fix your notifications. In any event, back to IGA and some coles. I tried

Staff is useless, poor communication, doesn’t know how to correct a price of discounted item at checkout, doesn’t know how to apply everyday rewards dollar, the other staff has the audacity to try to tell the customer to shut up when the fusing just wants to explain what happened. Won’t be back again.

Just a regular Woolies supermarket. Their bakery section isn't very large compared to others. But their fresh produce section is OK. Can get some good bargains here mid/late evenings if you're willing to go shopping then.

Cannot believe that I have to write a review for the local woolies…. I am writing with disappointment rather than anger. I recently moved to Ryde and shopped at Woolies Top Ryde twice including today. Today, I had to walk out of this store and left all the goods at the self-checkout area without buying them. Basically, I had unpleasant experiences with this lady who is assisting self checkout both times. The very first time, she moved the docket paper from the self checkout machine slowly like really slow. And today even though I asked for help first near her, she still wanted to serve another client at far end who yelled out for help after me. Maybe because I am asian. But she kept clients waiting all because she spent around 5 mins removing the stucked docket paper from another machine earlier. I reckon this lady takes every step slower than any other assistant I have ever seen at other woolies. The time she spent to help one client can be used to help at least two at other places . My suggestion to the local store manager is to take actions and put some who can do the job efficiently at the self checkout area. Please someone let me know if the assistant has been changed? I won’t go back to Top Ryde store until the assistant is changed and this lady gets allocated to other position that suits her situation.

There was only 1 staff member on the seafood, delicatessen and butchers counters at 2.30 pm tidy (Tuesday) The poor girl was a junior and couldn’t slice ham , lamb cutlets or get more prawns out . You lost a lot of sales for hours ! You need at least 1staff member for each counter , 1for the deli , 1 for the seafood and 1for the butchery . NOT ONE FOR ALL OF THEM!!!

This is a busy Woolworths, I’ll say that. However, the selection of groceries and meats is superb, one of the best in Sydney. The vegetables are alright, like any other place, but that stands out is the Asian section, Mediterranean section, meat selection, frozen goods, whole foods section, and the beauty aisle. The inventory is huge in comparison to other Woolworths. Wide aisles, well stocked too.The only other Woolworths I think that might be on par is the one in Lidcombe, and West Ryde
